The Tazewell County Recorder of Deeds office has the original deed dated December 24, 1858; Case
No. 21821.
Note that in 1858 the Tazewell County seat was in Washington, IL which is stated in the original deed.

S.E. Section of the S.E. Quad of section 17 in Cincinnati Township, 24 N - R 5 W
Shady Lane approximately 1/3 mile off Wagonseller Road which co-joins Manito Blacktop.

Starting in Pekin, IL go South on Rt. 29. At the first signal light South of
Pekin, is the Manito Blacktop.
To the left is the Federal Prison, to the right
is the blacktop.
Take the Manito Blacktop, past the Commonwealth Edison Plant, about 1 1/2 mile
to Wagonseller Rd. Turn South (left) on Wagonseller.
Take the first right past the Marine Club, continue on the gravel road for about
1/2 mile.
The cemetery is located on the left side of the road, on a curve, just on the
edge of the road.
It is in extremely poor condition.
†††† September 2003, Steve Slaughter found
this cemetery vandalized and overgrown. Which, made it's status:
despoiled.
On November 12, 2006 Al and Carole Martin went on a mission to
clean, repair and find buried and/or lost headstones.
Through their hard work the condition is now: Vandalized. Status is: In
Recovery!
Their work has only started. The cold
finally arrived causing them to delay their work until Spring.
However, they accomplished a lot from November 12 until December 30,
