WAGLE, JOHN
Pekin IL- John Edward Wagle 62, formerly of Pekin, passed away at 12:04 am Saturday October 30 2010 at Fairview Nursing Plaza in Rockford.  Born February 22 1948 in Peoria to Duke E and Alberta (Simpkins) Wagle, he married Nancy Schettler Stroup on November 08 2001 in Pekin.  She survives.  Also surviving are a daughter Angie Durr of Decatur; five grandchildren; a great-grandson; three sisters, Rita Potter, Patty (Doug) Anderson, and Donna Wagle, all of Pekin; and two brothers, Terry (Mary) Wagle of Pekin and Mike Wagle of Daytona FL. John was preceded in death by his parents.  He had owned and operated Four Seasons Window Cleaning in Pekin.  John enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing guitar and siging and spending time with his great-grandson.  His memorial service will be at 3 pm Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin.  Rev Ron Little will officiate.  Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.  To express condolences online, visit www.preston-hanley.com.

HARTWIG, WILLIAM
Green Valley IL- William F "Abe" Hartwig 66 of Green Valley, passed away at 12:10 am Tuesday November 02 2010 at Greater Peoria Specialty Hospital in peoria.  He was born February 06 1944 in pekin to Frederick G and Mary M Sparrow Hartwig.  He first married S. Dianne Dukes in 1968 and later married Sherry Kamp on August 17 2003 in Groveland, and she survives.  Also surviving are four children, Dawn R (Brian) Norris of North Carolina, Shannon L Foust (Nathan Boehm) of Minier, Steven D Coesnsgen (Dana Laumeier) of Pekin, and Shelly A (Tony) Hickam of Sunnyland; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth (Debbie) Hartwig of Palm Coast FL; and two sisters, Mary Lou Meyers of Pekin and Idella Lee of Green Valley.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Abe worked at Caterpillar Inc. in Mapleton and Morton for 31 years, retiring in 1999.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving from 1965 to 1967.  He was of the Christian faith.  Abe was a volunteer for the Green Valley Fire Department, was a former member of the Pekin Moose Lodge 916 in Pekin, and was a member of the Moore Dance Club, where he enjoyed country western dancing. Abe loved his chihuahua Angel.  He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, and was an avid NASCAR fan.  His funeral will be at 11:30 am Monday November 08 2010 at Davis Mortuary, 121 W Third St Delavan.  Abe's godson Pastor Brent Hartwig, will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 6 pm Sunday at teh mortuary with a prayer service at 7 pm.  Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery in Green Valley, with full military honors by Delavan American Legion Post 382.  Abe will be honored by the Patriot Guard for Veterans.  Memorials may be made to Green Valley Fire Department. RAUCH, HARRY
Pekin IL- Harry P Rauch 92 of 2415 Lake Shore Drive pekin and formerly of 109 Cherry St Green Valley, passed away at 7:31 am Wednesday November 03 2010 at Pekin Hospital. He was born October 08 1918 in Spring Lake Township near Manito, the son of George and margaret Dalcher Rauch.  He married Wanda Clark on January 01 1943 in Seattle WA and she survives. Harry is also survived by two daughters, Phyllis (Gerald) Hoeft of Tucson AZ and Margaret (Verne) Herrman of Groveland; a granddaughter, Crystal (Joel) Kilgus and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Kilgus and Luke Kilgus, all of Pekin.  A brother and two sisters preceded Harry in death.  He worked for 45 years at Quaker Oats in Pekin.  He retired in 1984.  He enjoyed square dancing, traveling and fishing.  Harry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin and was a former longtime member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church near San Jose.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1945 and served in the South Pacific during World War II.  Graveside services will be at 11:30 am Saturday at Allens Grove Cemetery near San Jose.  The Rev. Dr. Rodger Abatie, Ph.D. will officiate.  Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion post 561 of Manito, following the graveside services. There will be no visitation.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Good Shepherd Lutheran School, 3201 Court St., Pekin IL 61554.  Maas Funeral Home, Manito, is in charge of arrangements.

Washington IL- Jacqueline C "Jackie" Smith, 47, of Washington, died at 7:55 am Thursday November 04, 2010 at her home.  She was born February 05 1963 in Pekin to John and Jessie (Ward) Lunini.  She married Charles E Smith on October 25 1980 in Washington. Surviving are her husband, "Charlie" Smith of Washington; two children, Matt Smith of Roanoke and Melissa (Brad) Hatzenbuhler of Morton; two grandchildren, Kayli and Taylor Hatzenbuhler, both of Morton; her father, John Lunini of Pekin; her mother, Jessie Lunini of Peoria Heights; two brothers, Johnny Lunini of Carbondale IL and Michael (Ina) Lunini of Alexandria VA; and three sisters, Janet Ellis of Pekin, Jeri (Dave) Cooley of Bellevue and Jo Ellen (Roger) Ryals of Branckburg PA. Jackie was employed as the district manager for Freedom Oil in Bloomington for 11 years.  Services will be held at 10 am Monday November 08 2010 at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton, with Rev Brian Sanders officiating.  Visitation will be from 1 to 4 pm Sunday, November 07 and from 9 to 9:45 am Monday, both at the funeral home. HANY, ANN
Washington IL- Ann L Hany, 90, of Washington passed away Tuesday November 02 2010 at Washington Christian Village in Washington.  She was born December 04 1919 in Peoria, a daughter of Arthur A and Viola Bolton Samms. She first married Stephen Vinovich.  He preceded her in death.  She later married Kenneth E Hany in January of 1959.  He also preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, Arthur William Samms; and one sister, Mildred Viola Nieukirk.  Surviving are one son Rodney E (Nancy) Hany of Marquette Heights; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters Mae (Paul) Magunson of Pekin and Judith (Marion) Beeney of East Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.  She first worked as a baker for Kramers Restaurant in peoria and retired from Wahfelds Manufacturing in Peoria.  She enjoyed a variety of dancing.  Funeral services will be at 2 pm today November 04 2010 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in peoria.  Pastor Michael McCoskey will officiate.  Visiatation willb e one hour prior to the services at the chapel.  Burial will be in  Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.  Memorials may be made to Washington Christian Villiage in Washington.

AUNE, JEROME
Manito IL- Jerome Spencer "Jerry" Aune 75 of 211 Southmoor passed away at 12:27 pm Tuesday November 02 2010 at Pekin Hospital.  Born July 31 1935 in Spencer Iowa to Walter Jerome and Lila Blanche (McCaughey) Aune, he married Barbara A Scherich on April 12 1958 in Jackson Michigan.  She survives.  Also surviving are one daughter-in-law Nancy K Aune of Morton; two grandsons, Michael Shane (Vanessa) Johnson of Oak Park and Cameron Jerome Aune of Morton; two granddaughters, Emily Anne Aune of Chicago and Shannon Elizabeth Aune of Morton; and two great-grandchildren, Alistair Johnson and Audrey Johnson both of Oak Park.  he is also survived by his aunt and uncle Mr. and Mrs William Oswald of Wausatosa Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dr. Craig Jerome Aune who passed away on August 09 1997.  He was a member of the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Havana.  Jerry served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1958 to 1964.  he was the former credit manager for klaus Radio in peoria.  He served two years as president of the Pekin District 108 Board of Education and was a member of the board for a total of 6 1/2 years. He also was past president of Holiday School, Tazewell County Association for Handicapped Persons and Pekin Ambucs.  He was also past president of the Pekin Republicans.  he served as past chairman of the Human Rights Authority for five years, serving 17 counties in Region 1B; the Consumer Advisory Council through the Department of Rehabilitation Services and served as a council member for 18 years; and teh Pekin Friends of 47.  He served on the Pekin Winter Wonderland committee for 18 years, was chairman for three years and was grand marshal in 1997.  He was a past board member for six years for the Illinois Association for retarded Citizens and the Community Workshop.  Jerry was appointed to the committee to develop a five-year plan for the Department of Mental Health by the director, Dr. LeRoy Levitt.  He was a Webelos leader, Boy Scout leader and soutmaster for five years in Pekin.  He also was a member of the committee for Pekin Hospital's Foundation Ball for nine years. He was a member of the Sunset Hills Country Club; the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in Quincy, the Empire Masonic Lodge 126 A.M. & F.M. in Pekin; the Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria and the Kiwanis Club of Pekin.  His memorial service will be at 2 pm Sunday at St Barnabas Episcopal Church, 424 N Plum St in Havana.  Father Phillip Boeve will officiate.  There will be no visitation. GEBUR, RONALD
Delavan IL- American Soldier SPC Ronald W "Ron" Gebur, 23 of Killeen TX, formerly of Delavan IL, was killed in the line of duty on Saturday May 13 2006 in Baghdad Iraq.  Ron was born on October 02 1982 in Minot N.D. the son of Larry and Debra Hendershot Gebur.  He married Bethany Morgan Henderson formerly of Stanford on August 13 2003 in Bloomington IL.  She survives along with their nine month old son Gage Evan Gebur.  Also surviving are his parents, Larry and Debra Gebur of Delavan IL; one sister Camille Gebur of Delavan IL; paternal Grandparents Wayne and Darlene Gebur of Surrey N.D.; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Darlene Hendershot of Minot, N.D.; one paternal great-grandmother Gladys Gebur of Devil's Lake N.D.; and numerous aunts uncles nieces and nephews and many many friends.  Ron was a 2002 graduate of Delavan High School where he loved to play baseball. He also played for the Pekin Flyers Youth Hockey Organization. SMITH, PAUL
East Peoria IL- Sgt Paul G Smith 43 of East Peoria died Friday June 19 2009 in Kandahar Afganistan.  He was born July 09 1965 in Peoria IL to Joseph A and Muriel Jeanette Evans Smith.  He married Kim L Day in Kewanee IL on May 13 1988.  She survives.  Also surviving are his mother of East Peoria; two daughters Jamie Smith of Peoria and Sarah Appenheimer of East Peoria; one son Benjiman Smith of East Peoria; and three brothers, Joseph A. Jr., William C and Merle F all of East Peoria.  He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Sr.  Sgt Smith served as a cavalry scout with the U.S. Army.  Paul joined the Army in April of 1993 and was stationed in Fort Hood until 1996, when he was deployed to Kuwait.  In 1996 he and his family were then stationed in Vilseck Germany where they stayed until August of 1999.  His next station was Fort Riley Kansas where he was deployed again from 2001-2002 in Iraq and again from 2003-2004 and 2005-2006.  In June of 2006 he went inactive and headed back to East Peoria.  He joined the National Guard out of Kewanee in August of 2006.  While doing his drills, he was employed by G & D Integrated. In December of 2008 he was called to go to Afganistan with his Kewanee Guard. Sgt Smith was able to come home on his R & R from April 29, 2009 to May 12 2009, when he and Kim celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.  Sgt Smith loved his homemade pond of fish tanks and just relaxing on his break with his family and friends.  Private funeral services with full military honors will be Saturday June 27 2009 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria, with the Rev. WALKER, KRISTOFER
Creve Coeur - Army Spc Kristofer C Walker, 20 of Creve Coeur died Monday October 02, 2006 in Taji Iraq.  He was born December 21 1965 in Peoria IL to Kevin and Beth Snyder Walker. Kris is survived b his parents Kevin and Beth Walker of Creive Coeur; one brother, Chad K Walker of Creve Coeur; paternal grandparents, Carl  (Marcella) Walker of Creve Coeur; and hsi maternal grandmother Lenora Snyder of Creve Coeur.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Willard Snyder. Kris was a 2004 graduate of East Peoria Community High School.  He played the trombone with the East Peoria Community High School Marching Band.  He liked hunting, fishing and golfing.  He received the American Legion School Award in May of 2000.  Kris joined the Army in 2004, achieving his lifelong goal to be an American Soldier. Visitation for Kris will be from 4 to 7 pm Thursday October 12 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria.  His funeral service will be at 10 am Friday October 13 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria.  The Rev. Creve Coeur IL- Army Spc George R obourn Jr., 20 of Naperville, formerly of Creve Coeur, died Wednesday October 04 2006 in Taji Iraq.  He was born February 25 1986 in Peoria IL to George R Sr and Debrann E Walters Obourn.  George is survived by his parents, George Sr and Debrann Obourn of Naperville; two brothers, david (Marla) Obourn of Spring Bay and Rodney Obourn of Creve Coeur; one sister, Leanne Obourn of Des Moines IA; paternal grandfather Rodney G (Sharon) Obourn of peoria; and his maternal granfather David (Stella) Walters of Creve Coeur.  George was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Walters; paternal grandmother, Irma Obourn; one aunt, Bethann Walters; and one uncle, David E Walters. George was a member of the Chess Club and Band at Parkview Junior High in Creve Coeur.  He was a 2004 graduate of East Peoria Community High School where he played the trumpet in the Marching Band and Concert Band.  George studied martial arts and enjoyed paint balling, computer gaming and playing chess.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Friday October 13 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria.  Pastor Gary Olson will officiate. MESKIMEN, BETTY
West Peoria IL- Betty Lynn Meskimen 48 of 812 N Cortland Ave passed away at 2:24 pm Thursday November 04 2010 at the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center emergency room in Peoria with her family by her side.  She was formerly of Creve Coeur.  Born September 06 1962 in Peoria, she was the daughter of Fred Eugene and Janice Lynn (Patterson) Meskimen.  They survive of Creve Coeur.  Also surviving are her life partner, Linda M Markley of West Peoria; three stepsons, Kristopher (Mandy) Lancaster and Coy (Crystal) Nagel, both of Peoria, and Troy Nagel of West Peoria; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and two sisters, Rita (Frank) Schuck of Pekin and Cheri (Troy) Maxwell of Creve Coeur, and three brothers, Mike (Bobbi) Meskimen of Spring Lake and Jerry Meskimen and Richard Eddy, both of Pekin.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her biological father, Richard Eddy, and her grandparents.  Betty last worked as a scheduler for Staff of Life, a nursing staffing agency in Peoria.  She previously worked as a certified nurse's aide for many years at Pekin Area Nursing Homes.  Betty loved fishing and playing cards.  She also enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan.  Her funeral will be at 4 pm Monday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur.  Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:45 pm Monday at the funeral home.  Cremation will be accorded following the funeral. Pekin IL- Mary "Jo" Meskimen 82 of Pekin, passed away Tuesday August 31 2010 at her home.  She was born January 19, 1928 in Barren Co Kentucky to John and Vera Steenburgen Gosnell.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and two brothers.  She is survived by two sons, Jerry meskimen and Michael (Bobbi) Meskimen both of Pekin; four granddaughters, five great-grandchildren, and a sister Reba (Len) Delaware of Pekin.  Cremation was accorded as per her wishes, no services will take place.  The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co, Pekin/Peoria, is in charge of arrangements.

WEBB, PATRICIA
Pekin IL- Patricia A Webb 71 of Pekin, passed away at 11:25 pm Thursday November 04 2010 at her home with her family by her side.  Born October 14 in Cuba IL to Russell and Onilee (Keime) Weaver, she married Marvin G Webb in Pekin on September 21 1957.  He survives.  Also surviving are her daughter, Connie (Scott) Boundy; grandson, Justin Boundy; sister Wanda (Brian) Gardiner; two nieces, Paula (Jeff) Mjelde and Lauren Gardiner; two nephews, Kyle and Nick Gardiner; great-niece, Cheyenne Nichols and great-nephew, Jame Mjelde.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Dennis; and two infant children.  Patricia worked in food service at Pekin High School, Pekin Hospital and Caterpillar Canteen before retiring. She was a member of the Pekin Moose and the First Christian Church in Pekin.  She enjoyed bowling, painting, animals and especially spending time with her family.  Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday November 09 2010 at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Monday at teh funeral home. Peoria IL- Samuel F Gagliardi Jr 56 of 824 W Virginia died at 9:58 pm Saturday October 30 2010 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  He was born October 11 1955 in Peoria to Samuel F Sr and Eva M (Stull) Gagliardi. He married Carla Gagliardi.  She survives. Other survivors include two sons Timothy Gagliardi of Washington IL and Samuel F Gagliardi III of Pekin; three grandchildren; one brother Michael P Gagliardi of Peoria; and three sisters Rose M (William) Nau of Peoria, Mary A (Daniel) Morris of Florida and Vicky Gagliardi of Peoria.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice M Gallagher.  He was a self-employed mechanic and a U.S. Army Veteran. CALVERT, JEFFREY
Pekin IL- Jeffrey Thomas Calvert 35 of Pekin passed away at 5:25 pm Saturday October 09 2010 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  He was born June 28 1975 in Peoria to Dr Nels E and Linda Gambrill Calvert.  Surviving are his parents of Pekin; two brothers Nels M Calvert and Kyle Calvert, both of Pekin; two sisters, Shannon Calvert of Schaumburg and Whitney Calvert of London UK; his maternal grandmother, Marcella peterson of Pekin; and paternal Grandparents William and Joy Calvert of Punta Gorda Florida.  Jeff worked as a service technician for Peddlers Way Quilt Company of Washington.  A talented musician, Jeff played the mandolin and loved bluegrass music.  He also was an avid outdoorsman and loved canoeing, fishing and camping.  In his younger years he was active in Pekin  Youth Hockey Programs and played for the Pekin Dragons High School hockey team.  Jeff's gentle and loving spirit will be missed by his family and his friend. Pekin IL- Bernard Lee "Benny" Harms, Sr., 69 of 1213 Summer Street passed away at 11:13 am Thursday January 26 2006 at Pekin Hospital.  Born June 21, 1936 in Green Valley to Fred and Carrie A Martin Harms, he married Marcella Maxine Frazee on July 22 1957 in Springfield.  She survives.  Also surviving are four daughters, Marcia K (Perry) Whitley, Jane L (Owen) Miller, and Shellie M Harms, all of Pekin, and Melinda J "Mindy" (Steven) Peacock of West Frankforst; three sons, Walter L (Diana) Harms of Carlisle, KY, and Bernard L "Bernie" Harms Jr. and David W (Helena) Harms, both of Pekin; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Delbert (Virginia) Harms of Forest City and Howard (Loretta) Harms of Pekin; two sisters, Orilla (Wayne) Wiseman of Green Valley and Myrna (Robert) Johnson of Wheaton. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son (Jefforey H Harms on May 4 1983 in Peoria) and one brother (Russell Harms).  Benny worked for Caterpillar Inc for 26 years, retiring in 1998 as a fork lift driver at the morton Parts Facility.  He previously worked at the American Distilling Company in Pekin for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin and the Tazewell County Farm Bureau.  His funeral will be at 10 am Monday January 30 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pekin.  The Rev Rodger P Abatie and Vicar Aloysius B Majewski will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Sunday January 29 2006 at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel and 30 minutes before the funeral Monday at the church.  Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 700 South 4th Street, pekin, Illinois 61554 or St Jude Children's Research Hospital, Midwest Affiliate, 4722 North Sheridan Road, Peoria Illinois 61614.

Green Valley IL- Orilla Louise Wiseman 75 of 114 N Maple St passed away at 6:09 am Monday July 27 2009 at Pekin Hospital, Pekin IL.  Born April 11 1934 in Green Valley to Fred and Carrie (Martin) Harms, she married Wayne J Wiseman December 03 1949 in Green Valley.  Surviving are her husband; one daughter, Sheryl Hickerson of Peoria Heights; 1 son Wayne F (Sandy) Wiseman of Pekin; 2 grandchildren, Shimeha Volk and Jason Timian; 2 great-grandchildren, Cody Timian and Jared Timian; 1 brother Howard (Loretta) Harms of Pekin 1 sister, Myrna (Robert) Johnson of Forest City and 1 sister-in-law, Marcella Harms of Pekin. Orilla was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Delbert Harms, Russell Harms and Benny Harms. She had worked as a waitress for several restaurants including the Red Wagon in Pekin. Orilla was a member of First United Methodist Church in Green Valley. She enjoyed gardening and was a huge professional wrestling fan. Her funeral will be at 2 pm Friday July 31 2009 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.  The Rev. Bruce Bolin-Ghitalla will officiate. Pekin IL- Mary B. Hindman, 88, of Pekin passed away at 1:30 a.m. Friday, on Nov. 5, 2010, at her residence, surrounded by family. She was born July 4, 1922, to William and Rose Insalico Ingolia in Peoria, Ill. She married Harold Hindman on Jan. 10, 1953, in Pekin. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1988. Her parents; and two brothers, Dominic "Dom" Ingolia and Santo "Sam" Ingolia; also preceded her.  She leaves behind four children, Barbara (Michael) Polson of Groveland, Brian Hindman of Pekin, Rebecca (Louis) Reeise of Pekin, Lisa (James) Kalusa of Green Valley; six grandchildren, Nathan Polson of Hope-dale, Justin (Ainsley), Trent (Tabitha) and Brice Reeise of Pekin, and Mary Ann and Jimmy Kalusa of Green Valley. She also leaves behind four great-grandchildren, Addison, Ethan, Tristan and Lainey Reeise. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Jim Pankiewicz will officiate. Creve Coeur IL - Ellen M. Hurley, 55, of Creve Coeur, Ill., died at 5:32 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born July 9, 1955, in Peoria, Ill., and was a daughter of Bill and Floy Willan Hurley. They survive.
Also surviving are her longtime boyfriend, Roger Leverton of Creve Coeur, Ill.; two daughters, Maria Strubhar of Yates City, Ill., Melissa Hartwell of Pekin, Ill.; two sons, David Hartwell of Pekin, Ill., and John Hartwell of Creve Coeur, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and one sister, Jo Hurley of Peoria, Ill. Morton IL - Oleda M. Menold, 93, of Morton died at 4 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton. She was born Feb. 11, 1917, in Forrest, Ill., to Walter and Elizabeth (Moser) Honegger. She married Herman F. Menold on Aug. 30, 1942, in Forrest. He preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2007.  She also was preceded in death by two daughters, Lisa Marie Menold and Carolyn Feucht; two grandchildren, Christopher Chadwick and Andrew Witzig; her parents; five brothers, Perry, Ed, Jesse, Glen and Max; and two sisters, Leona Tanner and Verna Schaefer. Surviving are three sons, Thomas (Sheryl) Menold of Peoria, Greg (Linda) Menold and Brad (Jacquetta) Menold, both of Morton; four daughters, Elizabeth (Dennis) Feucht of Morton, Mary (Jerome) Witzig of Secor, Susan (David) Chadwick of Morton and Twyla (Arthur) Schlipf of Gridley; son-in-law, Charles Feucht of Elgin, Ill.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harley (Lorraine) Honegger of Forrest, Ill., and John (Wilma) Honegger of Peoria; and three sisters, Marge (Wilbur) Schneider of Rittman, Ohio, Ruth Roth of Fairbury, Ill., and Donna Leman of Forrest, Ill. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Oleda was an inspiration to her family and friends. East Peoria IL - Jesse "Jack" T. Modlin, 83, of 101 Brentwood Drive, East Peoria, Ill., passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at his residence. He was born April 4, 1927, to Louis R. and Mildred M. (Rice) Modlin. He first married Alice Self on June 1, 1952, in Peoria. He later married Colleen Montgomery on Oct. 21, 1976, in Peoria. She survives, along with three daughters, Nancy A. Kirk of Bartonville, Barbara (Rich) Gillespie of Bartonville and Mary Jane (Ron) Strawser of Fort Myers, Fla.; one brother, James R. Modlin of Peoria; one sister, Juel (Gerald) Zimmerman of Bartonville; three grandchildren, Nicholas Bridges Jr. of Trivoli, Katie (Mike) Mueller of East Peoria and Sam Jones of Fort Myers, Fla.; and one stepdaughter, Wanda Anderson of Elkton, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard E. Modlin. He loved playing golf, woodworking, traveling, boating and fishing. He worked at Clifford-Kaufman and Sons in Morton as a bricklayer, from which he retired. He attended Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. He was also a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge in both Bartonville and Peoria. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Bartonville IL - Arlene F. Pierson, 85, of Bartonville passed away on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at her home. She was born Jan. 29, 1925, in Peoria, one of 15 children (eight boys and seven girls) of Joseph and Hazel Ritter of East Peoria. She married Donald L. Pierson on June 6, 1953, in Peoria, and together they raised three boys, Charles E. Elgin of Clanton, Alabama, Donald L. Pierson Jr. of Mesa, Arizona, and Rick L. Pierson of Naperville; and four girls, Sherrie Jo (Elgin) Hamilton of Peoria, Sandra Kay (Elgin) Studdert of East Peoria, Synthia Ruth (Elgin) Salazar of Peoria and Candie Lynn (Pierson) Chiaravalle of Bartonville. Arlene has 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers and five sisters. After placing their trust in Christ in 1969, Arlene and Don started a ministry to youth called Pathfinder, and organized and managed a contemporary Christian singing group called the New Perspective. They served as superintendents of the High School Department at Grace Presbyterian for many years. Arlene led numerous Bible studies at local nursing homes. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria for 34 years. Her hobbies included interior decorating, ceramics and sewing. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Grace Presbyterian Church, 8607 N. State Route 91 in Peoria (near The Shoppes at Grand Prairie). SORENSEN, DONALD
Washington IL - Donald R. Sorensen, 74, of Washington, Ill., died at 1:42 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010, at his home surrounded by his children. He was born on Jan. 24, 1936, in Havana, Ill., to Raymond A. and Margaretha F. Vanderveen Sorensen. He is survived by his son, Kirk Sorensen of Washington, Ill.; his two daughters, Kristy (Danny) Howell of Washington, Ill., and Kim (Pat) Tralongo of Huntsville, Ala.; three grandsons, Logan Howell of Washington, Ill., and Sam and Luke Tralongo of Huntsville, Ala.; and two granddaughters, Alison and LeighAnna Tralongo of Huntsville, Ala. Don was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Chet Bortell, who raised him. He received his bachelor's and master's degree in education from Western Illinois University in Macomb and began teaching in the Astoria, Ill., school system. After two years at Astoria, Don became an instructor and basketball coach at Spoon River College in Canton, Ill. In 1963, he entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a special agent and served in Tampa and Sarasota, Fla., Birmingham and Huntsville, Ala., and Springfield and Peoria, Ill., retiring in 1986 after 23 years of service. He opened Sorensen Investigative Agency, Inc. in February of 1986 and operated it until his death. Don was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington for over 40 years. He also was a member of the Retired FBI Society and Ducks Unlimited. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed duck and goose hunting, and fishing. He was also known for his beautiful flower gardens. Don loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Services for Don will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Thomas Heren will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. SQUIER, MILTON
Milton Gene Squier 80, of Green Valley passed away Wednesday morning, October 13th, at Mardell Manor, where he has been a resident since September 2008.  Formerly of Deer Creek, Illinois, Mr. Squier lived at the Trailer Park in Goodfield, IL for 3 years and for a brief period of time with his son, Monty, in Augusta, GA.  ‘Gene’ loved the folks at Mardell Manor and they loved him.  Words cannot express the depth of gratitude the family feels for the tender, loving care he received while in their safekeeping. Mr. Squier was a professional truck driver, a terminal manager as well as a dispatcher during the course of his career.  He loved to fish. He was born in Pekin, Illinois on February 23, 1930 to Earl B.  & Blanche F. (Hyatt) Squier.  Married three times, he leaves behind Lee and Nelena (Squier) White of Pekin, IL, Monty and Julie Squier of Augusta, GA, Kelly and Jaime Squier of Morton, IL and Larry and Kim (Squier) Brown of Pekin, IL. Colleen (step- daughter) and Steve Aeschilman of Deer Creek, IL and Patrick (step son) and Chris Carmody of Bloomington, IL.  Three daughters from a former marriage survive as well.  Linda, Terri and Lu Ann (Tina) Johnson of the Peoria area. His sister Mrs. Robert (Marian) Reid resides in Pekin, Illinois. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Darrell Squier, Conrad Squier, Ronald Squier and a grandson, Seth Benjamin White. Memorial Service will be held for Mr. Milton Gene Squier, at Mardell Manor, 313 Morrison St. Green Valley, Illinois  61534 on Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 1:30pm. Pastor Edward Henry of First Christian Church, will officiate the service. Friends and family are invited to join the service. KLISTER, JEROME
Jerome E. Klister 70, of Pekin passed away on Friday October 8, 2010 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Green Bay, WI on January 17, 1940 to Earl and Catherine Tucker Klister. He married Nancy Huth in Green Bay on July 7, 1962. She survives along with his children: Karen (John) Rynes of Dallas, TX, Thomas (Wendy) Klister and Steven (Kathy) Klister both of Peoria, sisters: Charleen Klister of Atlanta, GA, Mary (Michael) Pierquet, Jeanne Klister and Barbara Smits all of Green Bay, grandchildren: Kaitlyn Klister, Samuel Klister and Brett Rynes and his 16 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Grace. His parents and grandchildren Genevieve and Mark Rynes preceded him in death. He attended St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI and served in the Army Reserves.  He was also a member and served as President of the Kiwanis Club in De Pere, WI during the early 1960s. After moving to Pekin in 1979, he & his wife Nancy were active in the tennis program at Sunset Hills Country Club and the Pekin Park District during the 1980s-1990s. An avid sports fan, he had a vast knowledge of sports trivia going back many, many years. He also enjoyed traveling to visit his children and grandchildren who lived in various places around the country over the years. After retiring as Regional Sales Manager from the Maytag Company in 2001, after 30 plus years, he loved spending the summers with Nancy, his wife of 48 years, in Door County, WI and socializing with the new community of friends they made over the past 10 years. The family expresses their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Pekin Hospital emergency room staff and the OSF St. Francis Cardiac Cath Lab. Visitation will be held on Wednesday October 13, at Abts Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. with a service to follow officiated by Deacon Mark Wilder. Cremation will be accorded following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes. A memorial mass will be held at a later date in his hometown of De Pere, WI.

Mark Edward Vogelsang, 51, of 300 Buena Vista, Pekin, died at 6:05 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at his home. Mark was born on February 24, 1959, in Pekin to Arthur “Sonny” and Charlotte (Howard) Vogelsang. Surviving are his son and daughter, Graham Watson of Pekin and Abby (Wadsworth) Sutherland of Morton. Also, surviving are his three brothers, Greg Vogelsang of Rock Island, Jim Vogelsang of Texas, and Joe Vogelsang of Peoria; three sisters, Cherri Colon of Tremont, Vicky Robertson of Nevada, and Debbie Koelling of Bartonville; four grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. Mark was a lineman for Sprint/Gallatin River for 10 years, and had been employed at Rohn Manufacturing, and Syngenta Seeds. Mark was a good man, whose goodness radiated from his soul through his twinkling eyes. His wit, humor, and charitable “here’s the shirt off my back” kindness will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial services for Mark will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday Sept. 30, 2010 at the Pekin Union Mission, 203 Court Street, Pekin. Pastor James West will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Fay McDowell to help cover cremation rites. A Lord’s portion will be donated to James West’s Barnabas Ministries for teenagers.

PEKIN - Harry H. Harms, 77, of 100 Deer Trail Drive died at 7:40 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at Pekin Hospital. Born Jan. 10, 1926, in Pekin to Herman and Marie Dringenberg Harms, he married Verna White on April 30, 1949, in South Pekin. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Barry (and Sharon) of Pekin, Bruce (and Doreen) of Channahon and Brian (and Robin) of Edmond, Okla.; two daughters, Julie Nitzschke of Plano, Texas, and Jill Shue of Pekin; three sisters, Kay Jenkins of Joliet, Mary (and Bernie) Grimm of Peoria and Bonnie (and Bill) Furrow of Pekin; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother. A World War II Army Air Forces veteran, he served from 1945 to 1946 in the 463rd Air Force Battalion. From 1946 to 1947, he served in the Air Force Reserve. He was a member of William Schafer Post 44 of the American Legion. He was a shift engineer at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station for 37 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Pekin R.C. Club. He was a member of Congregational United Church of Christ in Pekin, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Gary Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Noel-Henderson Funeral Home is charge of the arrangements. Peoria IL - William Kemp Harms, 80, of Peoria died at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at his home. He was born July 26, 1928, in Peoria to William F. and Elsie Kemp Harms. He married Dorthy L. (Herrin) Beckman on March 16, 2007, in Bartonville. She survives. He also is survived by a son, William (Carmen) Harms of Germantown Hills; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Michael Slater of Bartonville; a stepson, Darren (Jamie) Beckman of Pekin; and a sister, Jeanie Gulley of St. Petersburg, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving daughter, Lori Ann Slater on Nov. 11, 2007; two brothers; and also a wife, the former Shirline Chaney, who died in 2006. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Peoria First Assembly of God Church. He retired as an engineer from the Toledo-Peoria and Western Railroad. Cremation rites have been accorded, and a Celebration service will be held on Monday, June 29, at 6 p.m. at Peoria First Assembly of God Church on Brandywine Drive. PONTIAC - Harm J. Harms, 73, of 512 W. Moulton St. died at 12:25 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at Livingston Street and U.S. Route 24 in Gridley. Born Dec. 12, 1926, in Benson to Harm P. and Margaret Dirks Harms, he married Gynell Roach on June 2, 1984, in Pontiac. She died March 20, 1997. He also was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. Surviving are two sons, Raymond (and Manuela) Kent of Adams, Tenn., and James (and Charlene) Kent of Pell City, Ala.; one daughter, Karen Leu of Darlington, Wis.; four grandchildren; one brother, Ray (and Helen) of Decatur; and one sister, Dorothy Anderson of Toledo, Ohio. A World War II Army veteran, he served in the military police in Japan. He was a lifetime member of Pontiac Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 886 and a member of Minonk VFW Post 7185. He was a former correctional officer at Pontiac Correction Center for a number of years before retiring with the rank of sergeant. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Minonk. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Folkers-Froelich Memorial Home in Minonk. The Rev. Craig Swenson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. She was preceded in death by her parents.  Margaret was a graduate of Pekin High School and attended Mundelein College and Illinois Central College.  She was a reporter for the Peoria Journal Star, before working as a secretary at Caterpillar Inc. for 35 years, and last working at Business Communications Systems in Morton.  She was past president of Professional Secretaries International and was named Secretary of the Year in 1982.  Margaret served on the Diocesan Women’s Commission appointed by Bishop O’Rourke. At Holy Family Catholic Church, she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister and sang in the choir. In recent years, she was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. She also was a member of  Cursillo and Roncalli Society. She was a volunteer at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.  Margaret was an avid reader and traveled in the United States, Mexico and abroad. She was the family picture taker and enjoyed her nieces and nephews and families.  A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at St. Thomas Church in Peoria Heights with Msgr. William Watson officiating. Pekin IL- James Laverne Davis, 80, of 1313 Chestnut St., Pekin, formerly of Peoria Heights, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born Sept. 29, 1930, in East Peoria to James H. and Eva M. Ryan Davis, he married Barbara Harbur in 1961 in Bloomington. She died in 1996 in Peoria. He later married Deloris Sutton Grigsby in February 1997 in Las Vegas. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Vicky Lynn (Ron) Dierker of Mackinaw, Susan Marie (Henry) Sweet of Pekin, Deborah Summers of Wolcott, Iowa, and Teresa (Ron) Buchanan of Pekin; three sons, Steven E. (Laura) Olson of Maquon, Charles (Cheryl) Harbeck of Moline and Kenny Grigsby of Pekin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lucille Kinney of Moline, Rozella (Herb) Rule of East Peoria and Shirley (James) Rule of East Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; one grandson, Michael; six brothers; and two sisters. James was a franchise owner of Charles Chips in Peoria Heights for many years. He later worked for the Peoria County Sheriff’s Department as a process server for eight years, retiring in 1996. He was a lifetime member of the Na Mac Club in Peoria Heights. Pekin IL-Ada Jean Edwards, 80, of 1411 Koch St., Pekin, died at 6:40 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family.Born Sept. 4, 1930, in Sallis, Miss., to Harry and Neda Fox Sporles, she married the Rev. Douglas E. Edwards on July 27, 1946, in Kosciusko, Miss. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Harry (Cathey) Edwards of Pekin; one daughter, Deborah (Frederick) King of Salem; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Lois Dison of Bossier City, La., and Ruby Raynor of Brandon, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and one brother. Ada Jean last worked as a clerk at Pekin Public Library for more than three years. Previously, she had been the women’s apparel manager at Arlans department store in Pekin. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pekin and a former member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught the Joy Sunday school class. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; singing and playing the piano sewing, quilting, swimming and socializing with the Red Hats. One of the most rewarding highlights of her Christian life was in Israel, where she sang at an open air theatre. As a Baptist minister’s wife of 64 years, her journey through life was tremendously blessed with the love of Jesus Christ, her Savior, and her knowledge of eternal life in Heaven. Pekin IL-Marian E. Michael, 88, of Pekin, died at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at her home. Marian was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Pekin to Karl B. and Myrtle Louise Schrieber Liescheidt. She married Edwin B. Michael on Jan. 25, 1942, in Pekin. He died on March 9, 1983, in Pekin.She also was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Liescheidt.  Surviving are one daughter, Gloria (Ronald) Knautz of Pekin; two grandchildren, Keith (Ellen) Knautz of Batavia and Karlyn (Tom) Hoffmann of Carol Stream; and four great-grandchildren, Justin, Nathan and Brandon Knautz and Dennis Hoffmann. Marian was a secretary at WABCO-Dresser Industry for 14 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bethlehem Society, a former Guild member and Sunday school teacher. Brewer, 75, of Pekin, formerly of East Peoria, died at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Timbercreek Rehabilitation and Health Care in Pekin.  She was born Sept. 24, 1935, in Henton, Ill., to Gerald and Elsie (Compton) Huber. She married Chester W. Brewer on June 20, 1953, in Peoria. Surviving are her husband of Pekin; four sons, Raymond Brewer of New Albany, Ind., Richard (Karen) Brewer of Pekin, Randall Brewer of Pekin and Rodney (Amy) Brewer of Speer, Ill.; six grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel, Zach, Neil, Hayley and Emily; one great-granddaughter, Claire; and two sisters, Betty Hoagland of Washington and Doris (Norman) Harlan of East Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Dorothy worked for several years in the late 1950s to early 1960s at Brown Auto Store as a bookkeeper, in the Lincoln School cafeteria in East Peoria and as a cashier at Schierer's Dairy in East Peoria. She then worked as an emergency room receptionist at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, retiring in June 1985. She last worked as a bookkeeper at Brewer Machine Shop until early 1992, leaving due to ill health. She was a member of East Peoria First Church of the Nazarene, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, with the Rev. Tim Livengood officiating. Creve Coeur IL- Robert Gerald Benninger, 66, of Creve Coeur passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at his residence. He was born Aug. 31, 1944, to Jerry and Mildred Kelly Benninger in Pekin. He married Juanita Jean Grube in Pekin on Dec. 17, 1989. She survives along with his three sons, Jon Benninger of Mason City, Jerry (Tricia) Benninger of Lincoln and Jeff Benninger of Carroll, Iowa. He also is survived by his five grandchildren and his two sisters, Irene Guare of Bloomington and Irma Leesman of Harrison, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty Detmers. Robert served in the U.S. Air Force and worked in construction, retiring in 2009. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, 628 S. North Pekin IL-Helen Danko of North Pekin, formally of Streator, passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at her residence. She was born June 19, 1914, in Wenona, Ill., to Ambrose and Mary Yambrusic Smith. She was married to Walter L. Danko by the Rev. E.S. Dunn on June 27, 1939, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Wenona. Her husband preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1953. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Michael Rescan and Frank Smith; and two sisters, Agnes Piraino and Emma Nadler. She is survived by her two sons, John Howard Danko of River Forest, Ill., and Daniel (Marilyn) Danko of Downers Grove, Ill.; daughter, Mary Ellen (Randy) Carney of Pekin, Ill.; sister, Alma Seghetti of Peoria, Ill.; and several nephews. She is also survived by Carol Tannhauser and family. She was the manager of the school cafeteria for St. Stephens School in Streator, Ill., where she worked for more than 30 years. Helen was loving and dedicated to her family. She was high energy with a strong sense of duty and she had a great sense of humor. Born Jan. 29, 1935, in rural Pekin to Fred Louis and Helen (Johannes) Oberle, he married E. Charlene Hayes on Nov. 26, 1960, in Pekin. She survives. Also surviving are six children, Michael J. Oberle of Green Valley, Jody M. (David) Weibring, Elizabeth A. "Beth" (Paul) Glubczynski and Eric E. (Julie) Oberle, all of Pekin, Gayle L. Oberle of Georgetown and Chad K. Fran was a real estate broker for RE/MAX Home Realtors in Pekin for 15 years, last working Oct. 9. He started his real estate career in Peoria with Commercial National Realty and then worked with Olt & Griffin in Pekin. He also was a partner in Oberle & Mayberry Realtors in Pekin for a period of five years. In all, Fran enjoyed a successful career in real estate for 44 years. Fran was an ambassador with the Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the chamber's Puttin on Pekin Committee. Fran was a former trustee for the Tazewell County Regional Office of Education and a member and past president of the Pekin Association of Realtors. He also was a member of the Illinois Association of Realtors. He was a former member of the Boys and Girls Club board of directors. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, where he was a Eucharistic minister, CCD teacher, RCIA teacher and an usher. He was involved in the Prison Ministry of the Church and in 2008 was selected as the volunteer of the year by the Pekin Federal Prison. He also had been active in Cursillo and was a former member of the St. Joseph School Board of Education. He was a member and past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Archbishop Schlarman Council 3507 and a fourth degree member and past Faithful Knight of Assembly 210, both in Pekin. In 2003, he was selected Knight of Knights. Fran was chairman and a proud donor for the blood drives held at the K of C. Fran was very devoted to his family and church. Born Oct. 1, 1927, in Kansas City, Kan., to Thomas and Sarah (McCullom) Kopsa, she married James M. Canterbury Jr. on Jan. 14, 1947, in Salem, Ark. He died April 4, 1984, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Kopsa; three sisters, Jean Hancock, Pauline Pliler and Hazel Chambers; one grandson; and one great-grandson. Surviving are three sons, James (Donna) Canterbury of Cuba, Micheal Canterbury of Creve Coeur and Dennis (Tracey) Canterbury of Washington; three daughters, Laura Dinkins of North Pekin, Anita Canterbury of Troy and Connie Canterbury of Washington; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank Kopsa of Salem, Ark., and Charles Elliott of Chicago. Margaret attended New Life Christian Fellowship in North Pekin. She enjoyed meeting the ladies for lunch and was always a helping hand when it came time to make peanut brittle or have a rummage sale. Margaret loved chocolate and enjoyed some every day. She also had a weakness for good looking-men. Topping her list were Tom Selleck, Jeff Gordon, George Jones and Elvis Presley. He was born July 5, 1937, in Peoria, Ill., to Francis and Alice Roser Heinzmann.Surviving are five children, Bob (Rosie) Heinzmann and Pat (Rich) Brown, both of Washington, Ill., Steve (Julie) Heinzmann of Moline, Ill., and Greg (Angie) Heinzmann and Teresa (Kevin) Schone, both of Washington, Ill.; his fiancee, Esther Merdian of Chillicothe; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Bob worked as a boilermaker at Hiram Walker until his retirement in 1981.  He later worked at Multi-Ad and Peoria Tent & Awning. He was a master of many hobbies, including gardening, carpentry, auto mechanics and fishing, and was known as an all-around craftsman. Bob was of the Catholic faith. He was born on Aug. 10, 1931, in Lincoln, Ill., to Paul and Mayme (Sams) Roberts. He married Barbara M. Hoey on Sept. 19, 1954, in Peoria, Ill. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2003, in Peoria. His parents and one brother, Donald Roberts, also preceded him in death. Surviving are two daughters, Debbie (Eric) Nelson and Diane (Danny) Donald, both of Creve Coeur; two grandchildren, Shawana Nolan and Jake Nelson, both of Creve Coeur; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold (Billie) Roberts of Washington, Ill. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War before being honorably discharged. (formerly) Pekin IL- Tyler Steven Sullivan, 28, of Peoria passed away at 9:59 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria (result of accident). He was formerly of Pekin. Born July 23, 1982, in Decatur, he was the son of Randy and Cindy (Comstock) Keyes. He married Joy Nicole Tuffentsamer on Sept. 1, 2007, in rural Mackinaw. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Evan Tyler Sullivan and Mason Dean Sullivan, both at home; his mother, Cindy Keyes of Pekin; his father, Randy Keyes of Pekin; his grandparents, William and Lorraine Comstock of Pekin and Betty Keyes of Pekin; four brothers, Tom (Stephanie) Sullivan, Tim Sullivan and Michael Keyes, all of Pekin and Chris Keyes of Arkansas; one sister, Stephanie Keyes of Arkansas; several aunts and uncles, including Bill (Johl) Comstock and Bob (Naomi) Comstock, both of Pekin; nieces and nephews and many cousins. He also leaves his mother-in-law, Lynn Tuffentsamer of Marquette Heights and father-in-law, Rick Tuffentsamer of San Antonio, Texas. Tyler was a journeyman with Sheet Metal Workers Local 1 in Peoria. Over the past four years, Tyler worked out of the union mostly for PIPCO and was very proud to have completed the apprenticeship program in April. Tyler was devoted to his family and friends. He loved people and was very giving of himself. Tyler enjoyed motorcycles and riding for charitable causes. Just prior to his accident, Tyler had just completed a motorcycle ride benefiting Toys for Tots. He was a fan of the Chicago Bears and Fantasy Football. (Smith) Bakies, she married Robert H. Craine on Aug. 2, 1942, in Pekin. He died Jan. 21, 1988, in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by one son in infancy, David Richard Craine; and two brothers. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy J. (Gary) McCulley of Pekin; two grandchildren, Marci A. (Kevin) McDonald and Marc D. (Melinda) McCulley, both of Pekin; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Betty worked as a secretary for her daughter's insurance agency from 1988 until retiring in March 2010. She was a member of Celestial City Chapter 333, Order of the Eastern Star in Pekin. She was a former member of the Pekin Hospital League and Sunset Hills Country Club. Betty enjoyed making crafts, playing golf and formerly enjoyed bowling. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pekin. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. The Rev. Judy Doyle will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. OLSEN, JENNIFER
Pekin IL- Jennifer Renae Olsen 38, of the Pekin and Manito area, passed away at 12:52 pm Wednesday November 10 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.  She was born August 03 1972 in Peoria to William W and Brenda "Kay" Blair Olsen.  Surviving are her father William W and Brenda "Kay" Blair Olsen of Chillicothe; one daughter, Ashley Olsen of Pekin' one son, Daine Park of Washington; three brothers, William (Jewell) Olsen and Nathaniel (Melissa) Olsen, both of Pekin and Sgt Joshua (Mindy) Olsen of Ft. Story Virginia Beach VA; one sister, Amy (Monte) Shepard of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.  Jennifer was a 1991 graduate of Forman High School in Manito.  She was of the Christian faith and attend First Christian Church of Pekin. She was a very artistic person. She enjoyed making necklaces and bracelets, drawing and crocheting.  She was a former employee of Morton Metalcraft.  Her memorial service will be at 6 pm Monday November 15 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  John Worsham, pastor, will officiate.  Burial of ashes will be at a later date.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for her children in care of Southside Bank 917 N Fourth Street, Chillicothe IL 61523.  To express condolences online visit www.preston-hanley.com.

East Peoria IL- June A Delaney 97 of 500 Centennial Drive, Apt 105, East Peoria, passed away at 3:20 am Thursday November 11 2010 at Manor Care at Riverview in East Peoria.  She was a longtime resident of the East Bluff in Peoria.  Private gravesite services will take place at a later date in Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.  Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin is in charge of arrangements.

CRUM, CAROLYN
Pekin IL- Carolyn L Crum 72 of Pekin, passed away at 7:25 pm Tuesday November 09 2010 at her residence.  Born November 05 1938 in Pekin to Paul and Opal Davis Livengood, she married Danny Beam in Pekin.  She then married Marvin Crum in 1984 in Pekin.  He died in 1991 in Peoria.  She also was preceded in death by her father.  Surviving are her mother, Opal Bastonero of Pekin; two sons, Mark Beam in Kansas and Gregory Beam in Montana; one daughter, Danette Brogdon of Peoria Heights; seven grandchildren; one sister, Darlene (Phil) Kohler of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.  Carolyn was of the Baptist faith.  She retired after 30 years of service with Caterpillar Inc.  She was a member and former secretary for the Eagles Aerie 1869 Ladies Auxiliary in Pekin.  A past member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 673, Carolyn was an avid reader and loved watching television, particularly older television shows.  Private services will take place at a later date.  Cremation will be accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes and Crematory in Pekin.  Memorial contributions may be sent to Vistas Hospice 105 Marquette St., Suite A, LaSalle IL 61301; or to a charity of the donor's choice.  To express condolences online, visit www.preston-hanley.com.

Ashley Ann Mendenhall, 18, of 1418 Illinois Street, passed away at 12:57 p.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Pekin Hospital Emergency Room.  She was born April 19, 1992 in Peoria to Ronald D. and Joy L. (Wilhelm) Mendenhall.  Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Joy and Brett Chilton of Pekin; her father, Ronald Mendenhall of Havana; one brother, Andrew A. Mendenhall of Pekin; one step-sister, Madison Chilton, her grandparents, Robert J. Mendenhall of Havana, Diana and Dennis Sours of Spring Lake and Larry and Sandra Wilhelm of Pekin and her step-grandparents Dennis and Margaret Frisby.  She also leaves her great-grandmother, Natalie and Don Ross of Pekin.  Ashley enjoyed spending time on the computer and with her closet friend, Sara.  She also enjoyed making music.  Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, November 15, 2010 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin, where visitation will be one hour before the funeral.  Pastor Jim Dawson with God & Country Independent Baptist Church in Pekin will officiate.   Burial will be in Woodrow Cemetery in rural Pekin.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
