Bodies of Local Men Arrive On Army Transport

Remains of 3536 Americans who lost their lives during WWII have been returned to the United States from the Pacific aboard the U.S. Army transport Sergt. Morris E. Crain, the department of the army announced today. Among these from this area are the bodies of FC John W. BORTELL, army, who next of kin was listed at Mrs. E. . Bortell, 1056 Augusta Street. Cpl. Harold Edward Weighe, marines, son of Edward Weighe, Capitol Street and PFC Richard V. Hainlines, marines, son of Raymond L. Hainlain, Minier.
