AMERICAN DISTILLERY

The story of the American Distillery strike in 1936 was saved by my
Uncle, August Meskimen.  It's possible that August was involved
in this strike.  My father, Harold Hill, was one of the Union Activists.
The '30's were a violent time for workers who were willing to risk their lives in order to
organize so they could improve their life style.
More than once I heard the story, "it's a wonder Harold & others weren't killed".
