Services Held Sunday For William Henry THIELBARWilliam Henry THIELBAR, son of Frederick and Sophia WITTENBURG THIELBAR, was born Aug. 8, 1851, at Prattsburg, Ripley Co. Indiana, the fourth in a family of 12 children. He departed this life on Nov. 14, 1940, at the age of 89 years, three months and six days. At the age of 14 years, he, with his parents, came by covered wagon to Illinois, settling on a farm near Washington, Illinois, where the deceased grew to young manhood.
On Jan. 17, 1875, he was united in marriage with Wilhelmina LOHMEYER at Washington, Illinois.To this union were born nine children, namely, Mrs. Emma Scharp, Mrs. Elizabeth Shaffer, George Thielbar, Frederick Thielbar, William A. Thielbar, John Thielbar, Sophia Thielbar, Mrs.Pauline Kruse and Mrs. Viola Ely. He has been preceded in death by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Emma Scharp, George and John Thielbar.In March of 1914, he moved to Henry, Illinois, where he has since resided.In his early boyhood he became a member of the Lutheran Church and throughout his life believed in the goodness of God and the life everlasting. Death came very suddenly, following an illness of three days and was a shock to his children, twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one brother, August Thielbar of Peoria, Ill., numerous nieces and nephews, who centered all their family gatherings about him, and to whom no gathering was complete without his presence. To these and his hosts of distant relatives and friends, he will be sorely missed.
Funeral services were conducted from the home, west of Henry, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, with the Rev. Walter T. Ward, pastor of the Henry Methodist Church, bringing the message of comfort. Three hymns, "Rock of Ages," "Nearer My God to Thee," and "In the Garden," were beautifully rendered by Mrs. T. A. Baker and Mrs. C. O. Pogemiller, accompanied by Mrs. Charles Bourdette. The pall beareres were his six grandsons, Howard and George Thielbar,Raymond and Vernon Thielbar, Merlin Kruse and Nate Scharp.

Ropp of Washington, Illinois and John Ely of Princeville, Ill. Funeral arrangements were in charge of A. C. Lindbloom, and interment was in the Henry City Cemetery.

Last Rites are Held on Saturday for Mrs. William THIELBARCame to Henry 14 years ago, Large concourse of Friends attend Funeral Wilhelmina LOHMEYER, oldes child of Frederick and Caroline (KELLER) Lohmeyer, was born near Morton, Illinois, August 26, 1855, and passed away at her home four miles west of Henry, Dec. 24, 1929, at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 28 days,following an illness of five weeks.
On January 17, 1875, she was united in marriage with William Thielbar in the Methodist church southwest of Washington, Illinois. They resided in and about Morton and Washington until 14 years ago, when they moved to Henry.To this union, nine children were born, Mrs. Emma Scharp and Mrs.Albert Shaffre of Washington; Mrs. Edward Kruse of Peoria; Fred, William , John and Sophia Thielbar and Mrs. Clarencee Ely, all of Henry. One son, George, preceded her in death 11 years ago. Besides her husband and children, she leaves to mourn her loss 23 grandchildren, 3 greatgrandsons, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Speck of Peoria and Mrs. Lydia Ganzhorn of Washington, and one brother, Chris Lohmeyer, also of Washington.In her early girlhood, she united with the Methodist church near Washintgon. She was always strong in her faith and love of God, believing entirely all of His teachings and following the path He had made for her.
Funeral services were held from her home at 2 p.m., Saturday, conducted by Rev. G. W. Kinsman, minister of the Methodist church of Henry. Mrs. Elmer Hunt and Mrs. Lawrence Hunt, accompanied by Mrs. Charles Bourdette, very beautifully rendered "The Old Rugged Cross," "Asleep in Jesus," and "Rock of Ages."The pallbearers were her three sons, Fred, William and John, and Albert Shaffer, Edward Kruse and Clarence Ely. The beautiful flowers, so profuse in number, expressed the love and esteem of her many relatives and friends.The home was filled with those who sympathized with her bereaved family.
She was laid to rest in the Henry Cemetery.

John Logan THIELBAR, sixth child and youngest son of William H. Thielbar and Wilhelmina LOHMEYER THIELBAR (deceased), was born at Washington,Illinois, on March 30, 1887. Death came to release his suffering on Jan . 15, 1937, at 3:40 a.m., following an illness of three weeks, at the age of 49 years, 9 months, and 16 days.
On Feb. 7, 1923, he was united in marriage with Grace Wood at Henry, by the Rev. W. J. Carpenter. The 14 years following their marriage they spent on the same farm, west of Henry. To their union, one child,Pauline, was born, who, with the widow and aged father, survive. He is also survived by two brothers and five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. His mother and one brother, George, preceded him in death.
In 1913 he came from Tazewell County to Marshall County, where he has since resided and engaged in farming.During the World War he served 14 months with the America Expeditionary Forces, eleven of which were spent in France. He was a member of Henry Post, No. 323, American Legion.
In infancy the deceased was baptized and always walked in the ways of God, believing in His teachings and accepting his cross uncomplainingly.His quiet and unassuming nature
endeared him to his many relatives and friends, by whom he will be sorely missed.
Funeral services were conducted from the home, west of Henry, at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. W. J. Carpenter bringing the message of comfort.Two hyms, "Face to Face," and "The Old Rugged Cross," were beautifully rendered by Mrs. Jos. H. Benefiel and Imelda Henkins. Pall bearers were Albert Shaffer, William A. Thielbar, Clarence Ely, Edward Kruse, Frederick Thielbar, and William H. Scharp.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of A. C. Lindbloom, and interment was in the Henry City Cemetery, with Henry Post, No. 323, American Legion, according full military honors.

Rites Set For Edward THIELBAR of Beverly ManorWashington--Edward THIELBAR, 66, a resident of Beverly Manor for the past eight years, died at 8:45 pm Friday in the Washington Nursing Home,
where he had been a patient for the past six weeks. He had been in failing health for five years.
His body was taken to the Habecker Funeral Home where friends may call. Services have been tentatively set for 2 pm Monday in the funeral home, with Rev. Carl Kammeyer,
pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Thielbar was born Jan. 6, 1888 in Washington Township, a son of Albert and Emma WOLF THIELBAR. He married Sept. 2, 1933 to Luella SCHUMAKER.
He was a member of the Washington Masonic Lodge.
His widow survives: with one daughter, Mrs. Florence Bower-Mster of Peoria, on son Edward H. Thielbar, Walworth, Wisconsin; one sister Mrs.Catherine Liby of Monmouth,

Assunta MULARONIAssunta Mularoni, 89, of 2020 Willow street, died at 3 a.m., Wednesday at Pekin Memorial Hospital.
Born July 4, 1898, in Italy to Edward and Filomena Marachini DONATI, she married Joseph Mularoni on July 10, 1913, in San Marco, Italy. He died in April 1969. One daughter and one son also preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. George M. (Stazia) Thielbar of Pekin;three grandchildren, Arlene Tedesco of Thompson, Conn., Janice Rickgauer of Pekin and George J. Thielbar of Marquette Heights; four great grandchildren; and one brother, Giuseppe Donati of Santarcangeleo, Italy . She came to Pekin in 1914, then moved to Kincaid in 1917.
She returned to Pekin in 1935, and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel, where visitation will begin one hour earlier.
The Rev. Bob Lewandowski, O.S.A., will officiate and burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens.

Joseph MULARONI Dies Friday; Rites MondayJoseph Mularoni, 75, of 2020 Willow street, died at 7:35 p.m. Friday in Pekin hospital, where he had been admitted earlier the same day. He had been in ill health one year.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday in the Preston Funeral Home and at 9a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rev. Michael Coffey will officiate.
Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation wil be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, with recitation of the Rosary at 8 p.m.Born May 6, 1893, at Massa, Italy, he was a son of Salvatore and Amerlia GROVATTI MULARONI. He married Assunta DONTI, June 10, 1913, at San Marino. Mr. Mularoni was a 14 year employee of Commonwealth Edison Company,retiring 10 years ago. Prior to working for Commonwealth, Mr. Mularoni worked for many years as a miner. He was a member of the Italian- American League.Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. George (Stazia) Thielbar of Taylorville, Ill.; two sisters, Pamela Guidi and Rose Lotti of Rimini, Italy; one niece,

Funeral Services Held , Saturday, Jan. 20, for Albert SHAFFERFuneral services were held at the Habecker Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 20, 1962 at 2 pm for Albert Shaffer, 81, of 114 N. Pine Street. He was born April 19, 1880, in Morton Township, the son of Lewis and Nellis WALDEN SHAFFER. He was married Jan. 22, 1902, to Elizabeth THIELBAR, who died July 11, 1957.
He was a member of United Brethren Evangelical Church in Washington. Suviving are four daughters: Mrs. Irene Kamm of Washington, Mrs. Ida Dengel an dMrs. Alma Eppy, both of Peoria, and Mrs. Helen Stephens of Morton; a brother Tom Shaffer of Omaha, Neb., 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Services were in charge of the Rev. Milford Best, pastor of United- Brethren Evangelical Church. A trio, Mrs. E. O. Schabinger, Mrs. Horner Stormer, Mrs. Valera Corbin sang.
Organist was Mrs. W. G. Himmel.

Mrs. SHAFFER Died; Services held MondayMrs. Elizabeth C. SHAFFER, 77, of 114 N. Pine St., passed away at 6:30 pm on Thursday, July 11, in the Washington Nursing Home, where she had been a patient several days.
She was born May 25, 1880, in Groveland township, the daughter of William and Wilhelmina LOHMEYER THIELBAR. Since her marriage on Jan. 22, 1902 to Albert Shaffer in Morton,
she had resided in Washington.
She is survived by her husband, four daughters, eleven grandchildren,and 3 great grandchildren, a brother William Thielbar of Henry, and two sisters Miss Sophie Thielbar of Henry and Mrs. Pauline Kruse of Bartonville. Her daughters are Mrs. Irene Kamm of Washington, Mrs. Ida Dengel and Mrs. Alma Eppy, both of Peoria, and Mrs. Helen Stephens of Morton.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Shaffer was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Washington.
Funeral services were held at the Habecker Funeral Home at 2 pm Monday, with Rev. Wilbur Payne officiating. Burial was in the Glendale Cemetery. Hazel THIELBARHazel THIELBAR Dies at age 34, Rites Tuesday
Miss Hazel Louella Thielbar, 34, 1329 N. Capitol street, died at 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Illinois Research hospital, Chicago, after an illness of a year.
Miss Thielbar was born Jan. 26, 1913, in Elm Grove township, Tazewell county, a daughter of George W. and Elizabeth DULLY THIELBAR. Prior to her illness,
she worked at the Central Book and Toy store for a year.
When she became ill, she first went to Oak Knoll sanitarium, Mackinaw,and then to the hospital at Chicago, where she succumbed. The young woman's father preceded her in death,
and she is survived by her mother and two brothers, Howard R. Thielbar, Washburn, and George M. Thielbar, Pekin.
At 4:30 p.m. today the body is to be taken from the Preston Funreal home to the residence at 1329 N. Capitol street, where friends may call. After prayer at the home Tuesday at 11 a.m.,
the body will be taken to the St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church to lie in state until the services at 2:30 p.m. at the church. Dr. Arno A. Zimmerman will officiate

Mrs. Elizabeth Dully THIELBAR, 72, of 1329 N. Capitol street, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning in her residence.
Born in Groveland Township Dec. 24, 1883, her parents were Michael and Magdalena WAGEMAN DULLY. She was married to George W. Thielbar in Groveland in 1909. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 1918.
Mrs. Thielbar was a member of St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed church and the Woman's Guild of the church. She leaves two sons, Howard R. and George M. Thielbar, both of Pekin;three grandchildren; a brother, Joe Dully, Morton; and two sisters, Mrs.Kate Klein, Groveland, and Mrs. Mary Stormer, Mackinaw. One daughter, one brother and three sisters are dead.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Paul Evangelica and Reformed Church, with the paster, Rev. Herbert T. Tetzlaff,officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Noel Funeral Home Saturday evening and until 10 a.m. Monday when the body will be taken to lie in state in the church until the hour of service.
