Philip Vaughn Who Died Friday Left Many Descendents

Philip Vaughn, aged 84 years, a retired farmer who has been a resident of Pekin for the past two years, died at the home of his son, Francis Vaughn, 1417 Henrietta Street at 2 Friday afternoon. He was born in Kentucky, January 1, 1842 and his marriage was to Mary Jane Bond. His wife died several years ago.

He is survived by the following children: Thomas Vaughn, Pekin; Mrs. Alice Bell, Petersburg; Francis Vaughn, Pekin; John and Arthur Vaughn, Atterberry; Mrs. Julia Voth, Oakford; Mrs. Anna Ogden, Chandlerville. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mary Woldridge of Oklahoma and Mrs. Lizzie Woldridge of Keokuk, Ia. 25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The body was removed to the Noel funeral home and Monday morning will be taken to Oakford, where funeral services will be held at the Mt. Olive church at 11 oclock. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, in Sangamon county.

Blacksmith, Dies At Age 68

Services for Louis Vittori, Sr., age 68, a blacksmith here for many years, who died at his home, 628 S. Twelfth street,
at 3:15 p. m. on Monday, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Preston funeral home.
The Rev. M. A. Coffey of the St. Joseph Catholic church, will officiate at the rites and burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.
Mr. Vittori was born in Italy, Dec. 21, 1881, a son of Thomas and Ann Vittori. He has been a resident of the Untied States for the past 48 years.
His marriage to Eileen A. Moore took place in Pekin Jan. 18, 1915. Surviving are two sons, Louis Vittori, Jr., Pekin and Thomas Vittori, Union City, Ind..
Also surviving is a brother, Steve Vittori, living in Italy and seven grandchildren. He had been ill health for the past three years.
Friends may call at the Preston funeral home until time of the services.
