| EERTMOED, FRED Pekin IL- Fred I. Eertmoed, 93, of 12429 S. 14th St. died at 3:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 1999, at Pekin Hospital. Born May 1, 1906, in Pekin to Fred A. and Emma VonBoeckman Eertmoed, he married Florence E. Hull on Sept. 26, 1926, in Pekin. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Fred (Sally) Eertmoed of Pekin; one daughter, Mrs. James (Shirley) Baker of Meredosia; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Irma) Cooper of Pekin and Mrs. William (Doris) Falkingham of Brighton, Colo.; and two brothers, Charles Eertmoed of Pekin and Robert (Lindy) Eertmoed of Nevada. He was preceded in death by two infant sons, Robert Wayne and James Richard; seven brothers and three sisters. An employee of Commonwealth Edison Co. at the Powerton Station for 38 years, he retired as a turbine room operator in 1966. He also prepared income tax returns and assisted in maintaining fishing activities at Luttiken Lakes in rural Pekin for many years. He was a member of the Powerton Playboys. A member of Second Reformed Church, he served as a deacon and elder in the consistory. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at his church. The Revs. Harmon Heeg and Ralph Cordes will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Noel-Henderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. | EERTMOED, LOUIS Pekin IL- Louis R. Eertmoed Sr., 81, of 1302 S. Ninth died at 8 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7, 1998, at Pekin Hospital. Born Aug. 21, 1916, in Pekin to Fred and Emma VonBoeckman Eertmoed, he married Virginia V. Bassett in Fort Madison, Iowa. Surviving are three sons, Lloyd Eertmoed, Louis Eertmoed Jr. and Larry Ertmoed, and one daughter, Beverly Gray, all of Pekin; three brothers, Fred and Charles, both of Pekin, and Lindy of Las Vegas; two sisters, Irma Cooper of Pekin and Doris Falkingham of Brighton, Colo.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. He worked for PS Olt Game Calls from 1940 to 1952 and was a part-time security officer for UFS Savings Center. He was a deputy sheriff for the Tazewell County Sheriff's Department from 1952 until retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Illinois Police Association. He was a member of Mohammed Temple, Shrine; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria; and Second Reformed Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Woolsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph Cordes will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. RICHARD Pekin IL- Richard F. "Kip" Wolfer 85 of 1411 N. Fifth St. died at 5:37 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 1998, at Pekin Hospital. Born December 17, 1912, in Pekin to John Edgar and Wilhelmina Koobs Wolfer, he married Lenora A. Rose on August 18, 1934, in Oak Park. She died November 06, 1996, in Pekin. Eight brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. Surviving are four daughters, Sharron Murray of Denver, Lynn Schleder and Mrs. Dr. Frank (Jeanne) Benningfield, both of Peoria, and Mrs. Rod (Christy) Loy of Pontiac; one brother, Dr. George of Michigan; three sisters, Muriel Buchanan of Pekin, Minnie Wilson of Florida and Marjorie Schiberl of Chicago; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was superintendent of aluminization at Keystone Steel & Wire Co. in Bartonville for 40 years, where he perfected the process of aluminizing galvanized wire. He was a member of First Christian Church of Pekin, where he served as deacon. He also was a member of Empire Masonic Lodge 126, AF&AM. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Noel-Henderson Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Brite will officiate. Visitation will be two hours before services at the funeral home. | WOLFER, LENORA Pekin IL- Lenora Ann "Hootie" Wolfer 82 of 1411 N. Fifth St. died at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, November 06, 1996, at her residence. Born February 22, 1914, in Pekin to George Phillip and Mollie Cummings Roos, she married Richard F. Wolfer on August 18, 1934, in Oak Park. He survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Lynn Schleder and Jeanne Bemingfield, both of Peoria, Sharron Murry of Dallas, Texas, and Christy Loy of Pontiac; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers. She was a member of First Christian Church in Pekin. She was a life member of the Pekin Hospital Auxiliary. CHRISTOPHER Marquette Heights IL- Services for Christopher Lewis Womeldorff, 17, of 1003 Lincoln Road, who was pronounced dead at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 1991, at Saint Francis Medical Center, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Remmert Funeral Home, East Peoria. The Rev. Dowice Ashley will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Bay Cemetery. He died from injuries suffered in a one-car accident on Illinois Route 29 in North Pekin. He was born Aug. 16, 1974, in Peoria to James and Lisa Knight Womeldorff. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Jim and Stephanie Womeldorff of Marquette Heights; stepfather and mother, Jesse and Lisa Lairson of South Pekin; one brother, Kyle of Pekin; two sisters, Karmin Womeldorff and Andrea Womeldorff, both of South Pekin; one half brother, James Christopher Eugene Womeldorff of Marquette Heights; and grandparents, Lewis and Bessie Womeldorff of Mason City and Mike and Faye Dever of Pekin. JOHN W Pekin IL- John W. "Jack" Anderson, 66, of 230 Court Place, Apt. 701, died at 4:48 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 1992, in the emergency room of Pekin Hospital. Born December 16, 1925, in Highland Park to Peter J. and Emily F. Brown Anderson, he married Alberta E. Stoehr on October 23, 1972, in Pekin. She survives. Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Laverta Wilson of Morton and Mary Lundy of Pekin; six grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Stolz of Payette, Idaho. He was preceded in death by twin sons and one brother. A truck driver, he last worked for Heartland Express in Iowa, retiring in 1987. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS Post 235, Eagles Lodge and the Men's Barbershop Chorus SPEBSQSA, all in Pekin. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Woolsey Funeral Home in Pekin. The Rev. | FOX, HARLAN Pekin IL- Harlan Richard "Buss" Fox, 87, of 230 Court St., Apt. 1202, formerly of Beardstown, died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 1998, at his home. Born Jan. 27, 1911, in Bluffs to George Burton and Lettie Leona Pettet Fox, he married Vivian G. Hall on Dec. 5, 1932, in Beardstown. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, James of Beardstown, Harold of Peoria and Larry of Pearland, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Galen (Kay) Perry and Susan Lashbrook, both of Pekin, and Mary Kessler of Peoria; one half sister, Emily of Wisconsin; 20 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren. One son, Robert, two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. He retired as an assembler from Bohn Aluminum Sheet Metal Co. in Beardstown. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown, where visitation will be one hour earlier. | MASON, MARY Morton IL- Mary Alice Mason, 76, of 534 N. Minnesota Ave. died at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 1996, at her residence. Born Oct. 4, 1919, in rural Atlanta, Ill., to Ray E. and Ida Crihfield Thompson, she married Ramon H. Mason on July 3, 1943, in Atlanta. He survives. Also surviving are her father of Lincoln; two sons, John of Hyattsville, Md., and Craig of Morton; three brothers, William N. Thompson of Champaign, Ray E. Thompson Jr. of Galesburg and Robert J. Thompson of Atlanta; and one granddaughter. One brother and one infant son, Robert Dale, preceded her in death. She received her bachelor's degree in accountancy in 1940 from the University of Illinois, where she was a member of Phi Chi Theta and a life member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. She worked for George Rossetter accounting firm in Chicago. She later was an accountant for Eminence Grain and Coal Co. in Atlanta. She was a 40-year member and past president of Chapter EE, PEO Sisterhood. She was a member of Peoria Symphony Guild and Tazewell County Farm Bureau. She was a life member of Peoria YWCA and Kennel Lake Sportsmen's Club. She was a charter member of Lakeview Museum of Arts and Sciences in Peoria. A member of American Field Service, Morton Chapter, she and her family hosted Morton's first AFS foreign-exchange student. She served on the Morton Historical Society and was a volunteer for We Care Inc. She was a member and former treasurer of Community United Church of Christ in Morton, where she served as president of its women's fellowship, Semper Fidelis, and several church boards. She was active in the Morton Christian Women's Club and her church's Circle of Concern ministry to the sick and shut- ins. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at her church. The Rev. Dr. Roger Mealiff will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ludwig-Rohrschneider Mortuary. HOWARD West Peoria IL- Howard F. Webber, 79, of 2313 W. Ayres died at 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1996, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born May 13, 1917, in Peoria to Charles E. and Nellie Flynn Webber, he married Rebecca Hendrick on August 22, 1953, in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Paula Lewis of Peoria; two sons, William H. of Morton and Anthony R. Sr. of Peoria; one brother, Charles E. of East Peoria; two grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. One sister preceded him in death. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of AMVETS Post 64 and American Legion Post 18. He was head cashier for the Rock Island Railroad, where he worked since 1946. He was a member of the Transportation and Communication Union. He retired in 1980. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria, where a memorial service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday. | GOETZE, JACOB Pekin IL- Jacob Goetze, 84, of 1735 Valle Vista Blvd. died at 10:02 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 1998, at Hallmark House Nursing Center. Born September 15, 1913, in Hollis Township, Peoria County, to Frederick and Lena Ries Goetze, he married Luverne L. King on March 24, 1936, in Bartonville. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Lowell of Sunnyvale, Calif.; two daughters, Joyce Hillyer of Pekin and Susan King of South Glastonbury, Conneticut; one sister, Hazel Farlow of Pekin; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. Two brothers, one sister and one stepgranddaughter preceded him in death. He was an electrician at Commonwealth Edison Powerton Station for 36 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Powerton Playboys. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of Pekin Elks Lodge 1271, Sunset Hills Country Club, Mr. and Mrs. Dance Club and YMCA Caper Club of Peoria. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at his church. The Rev. Born May 28, 1945, in Pekin to Loren C. and Caralena Behrends Arnett Sr., he married Margo S. Lutes on April 02, 1967, in Pekin. She died September 16, 1990. He married Connie J. Moser on July 26, 1992, in Pekin. She survives. Also surviving are his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Loren Arnett Sr. of Iron River, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Todd (Cherese) McAde of Okinawa; two sons, Matthew and Andrew, both of Pekin; one stepdaughter, Joanna Moser of Pekin; six sisters, Sharon K. Hielman of Princeville, Sheila D. Tomlinson, Sheryl A. Timiran, Barbara J. Friend and Betty S. Draher, all of Pekin, and Bonnie L. Carr of North Pekin; one brother, Kenneth D. of Pekin; and one grandson. His mother and one sister preceded him in death. He was co-owner of Arnett Grocery Store in Pekin. He also was a car salesman for Scherer Buick Pontiac Isuzu in North Pekin. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran, serving from 1966 to 1967. Wilcox Pollock, he married Jane A. MacDonald on September 02, 1951, in Sherburne. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Danny W. of Pekin; twin daughters, Mrs. Mark (Melanie J.) Jobe of Marquette Heights and Melodie A. Pollock of Peoria Heights; two brothers, Harvey P. of Norwich, N.Y., and George R. of Springfield, Missouri; two sisters, Dorothy G. Wells of Syracuse, N.Y., and Betty I. Barker of Sherburne; and five grandsons. One sister preceded him in death. He was a radio operator in the Army during the Korean War. He received the Korean, United Nations and National Defense service medals. He was a CNC operator at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria since 1970. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union Local 974. He was member of Creve Coeur American Legion Post 1234. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
