CONGERVILLE-
The funeral for Gertrude A Kaufman, 92, of Congerville, will be at 11
a.m. Tuesday at Eureka Church of the Nazarene. Pastor H. Gordon
Barrick will officiate. Burial will be in Olio Cemetery,
Eureka.
Visitation will be for one hour before the service Tuesday at the
church. Mrs. Kaufman died at 10:32 a.m. Thursday (June 10, 1999)
at
BroMenn Regional Medical Center, Normal. Memorials may be made to
her
church. She was born June 17, 1906, at Peora, a daughter to
Theodore
and Grace Kaiser and was raised by her foster parents, Joe and Faye
Kennedy. She married Dale Parsons on June 17, 1923, at Deer
Creek. He
died June 11, 1957. She later married Ervin R. Kaufman on Feb.
27,
1959, at Kahoka, MO. He died October 9, 1986. She is
survived by a
son, Charles Parsons, East Peoria; three daughters, Roxie Pittman,
Astoria; Margaret Kaufman, Congerville; and Irma Jean Ioerger, Peoria;
five step-grandchildren 10 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and
eight great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two
brothers. Mrs. Kaufman was a charter member of the Eureka Church
of
the Nazarene.
