H. B. Flaugh was a native of this country, and was born May 15, 1823.  His parents came from Germany; were 15 weeks crossing the ocean.  Henry B. Flaugh went to school in the old fashioned subscription school, paying his own tuition, working for five and six dollars a month.  At the age of 18 years he learned the cooper's trade with Paul Frick.  Henry Flaugh was my father.
