Don J. Tranbarger, 82, of Anna died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2001, at Union County Hospital.

He was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Jacksonville, Ill. He and Louise Darnell were married Feb. 7, 1947, in Paragould, Ark. She preceded him in death.

Don attended the Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Dorothy Dillow of Anna; two stepgrandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Ill. The Rev. John Cripps will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
