Grace Idell Williams

Mrs. Grace I. Williams, 75, of Grand Chain and formerly of Anna, died at 12:50p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 1983, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

She was born Dec. 11, 1907, in Union County, the daughter of Sylvester and Sarah Jane (Grammer) Tate.

She married Francis Paul Williams Jan. 19, 1929, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1974.

She is survived by one son, the Rev. Eugene Williams of Olmsted; one daughter, Sarita Griffith of Peoria, one foster son, Cecil Toler of Virginia; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Union County.

Funeral services were held at 1:30p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 1983, at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. William Gholson officiating. Interment was in Alto Pass Cemetery.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna was in charge of the arrangements.
