MARY KATHERINE OBPTANDE

Jonesboro, IL.--Mary Katherine "Kathy" Newman Obptande, 55, of Jonesboro died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007 at her home.
She was born April 21, 1952 at Anna, IL, daughter of James Hubert and Lenora Coleman Turner.
Survivors include a daughter, April Cunningham of Pennsville, N. J.; a son, Richard Newman, Jr. of Lick Creek, IL; ;her mother of East Cape Girardeau, IL; three sisters, Leona Richardson of McClure, IL, Judy Ogden of Sikeston, MO, Debora Elliott of East Cape Girardeau; two brothers, David Coleman of Fort Scott, KS, Roger Turner of Cobden, IL; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister and a brother.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. Aug 12,  at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.  
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2007 at the funeral home with the Rev. LaRue Parr officiating.
Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery near Dongola, IL.

SEAN MICHAEL O'DANIEL



Anna, IL--Sean Michael O'Daniel, 42, of Anna died Friday, April 4, 2008 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born June 8, 1965 at Key West, FL, son of Leon and Nancy O'Daniel.
O'Daniel was an over-the-road truck driver.  He graduated from Shawnee Community College and Anna-Jonesboro Community High School.  
Survivors include his mother and father of Anna; paternal grandmother Esther O'Daniel of Anna; a brother, Leon O'Daniel Jr. of Renton, Wash.; and a sister, Melissa O'Daniel of Anna.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and his maternal grandmother.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna, with the Rev. Dennis Schaefer officiating.  Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.


NINA L. OLIVER



Anna, IL--Nina L. Oliver, 81, of Anna died Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY.
She was born June 21, 1926, in East St. Louis, Ill., daughter of William and Anna Rutledge Hannah.  She and Cletus Milford Oliver were married Jan. 30, 1946, in Vienna, Ill.  He died Nov. 8, 2005.
Oliver was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church and retired from the Florsheim Shoe Co. in Anna.
She is survived by four sons, William H. Oliver of Waynesboro, Va., Cletus Oliver, Jr. of Anna, Alvin L. Oliver of Quincy, Ill., George Oliver of Alto Pass, Ill., a daughter, Laura Ann Wetherford of Clinton, KY; a brother, William H. Hannah of st. Joseph, Mich.; a sister, Edith Irene Lambert of Bloomington, Ill.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Howard Kitter officiating.  Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.




MARY L. THEIS OLSON



South Elgin, IL--Funeral services for MARY L. OLSON, 82, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Steve Kottke officiating. Born July 29, 1919, in Anna, Ill., the daughter of Willie and Elsie (nee Barringer) Theis, she passed away Thursday, March 21, 2002, at her home.
Burial will be private. Mrs. Olson had been a resident of the Elgin area since 1965 and was employed by the Elgin Mental Health Center as a licensed practical nurse before retiring. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Elgin and the LPN Association at the Elgin Mental Health Center.
Surviving are her daughters, Carole (Lyle) Anderson of Duluth, Minn., Linda (Ronal) Jackson of South Elgin and Jennie (Tom) Tillman of Woodstock; sons, Ronald Olson of Spring Grove and Paul (Judy) Olson of Vienna, Ill.; grandchildren, Ronal Jr. (Jean) and Randy (Peggy) Jackson, Brian Anderson, Lisa (Eric) Norland, Laura (Mike) Blake, Diane Kokon, Tracy (Mohammed) Ben Rhouma, Erika (Eric) Loch, and Thomas III (Kyra), Terry, Travis, Troy, Trevor and Tiffany Tillman; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Otto (Bonnie) Theis of Millstadt, Ill., Gilbert (Mary) Theis of Vienna, Ill., Howard (Jean) Theis of Ullin, Ill., Charlie (Carolyn) Theis of Millstadt, Raymond (Georgene) Theis of Anna, Ill., and Norman (Judy) Theis of Balcom, Ill.; and sisters Wilhelmina (Lloyd) Menees of Millstadt, Emma (Lowell) Richardson of Millstadt and Marie Cupp of Elizabeth City, N.C.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Olson; stepmother, Molly Theis; sisters Elsie (Bud) Davis and Lena Rosena Theis; brothers Edwin, Carl and Alvin Theis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cliff, Ollie, Susan and Russell Olson, and Joan and Opal Theis; and daughters-in-law Pam and Pat Olson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
