ALDRIDGE, Thomas L.
Aldridge, Thomas L--farmer, born 28 Feb 1850 in Preston Prec, Union Co, IL. He owns 1300acres and there is a old Indian burial ground located on the property. He married 12 April 1874 to Nancy Lyerle, the daughter of  Zachariah (d 1874). They had 5 children: Permelia Belle, Thomas Franklin, James Monroe and 2 which died young. Thomas is the son of William and Adaline Johnson Aldridge.  Adaline is thedaughter of James Johnson.. Adaline was born in AL. William died 08 Oct 1877, age 86. William and Adaline had sons--Thomas L and James and at least 3 daughters. This family is from the line of Isaac Aldridge, who was German and settled in NC. From NC they went to KY. In 1825 James Aldridge (d 1855) made a settlement in T11-3W in Sec 20 of Union Co, IL. In 1826, Joseph and Elizabeth and William Aldridge settled on the Big Muddy River.  


BARRINGER, George
Barringer, George--farmer, born 02 Jan 1849 in Union Co, IL the son of Charles and Matilda (Hileman) Barringer. At age 17, George was a teacher, teaching for 6 years. He was also in various county offices and was elected sheriff in 1878. On 21 Nov 1877 in MO, he married Belle Byrd, the daughter of Stephen Byrd. George and Belle had two children: Georgia Belle and Byrd Polk



BEAN, George W.
Bean, George W--farmer, born 28 Mar 1852 near Cobden in Union Co, IL, the son of T. H. and  Mary (Brown) Bean. T. H. Bean was born in TN about 1827. Mary Brown was born in Union Co, IL about 1835. T.H. and Mary had ten children, only four are living now with George being the oldest. George married on 02 Sep 1880 in Union Co, IL to Bernice Caroline Wilkins, the daughter of  Jere and Martha Jane (Parmley) Wilkins. George and Bernice had one child, named Elmer Bernard, who died in 1882.
