Tavares, FL--DARWIN C. THORNTON, 74, 64 Blanton Lane, Tavares, died Monday (June 20, 1988). Born in Lick Creek, Ill., he moved to Tavares from Carbondale, Ill., in 1973. He was a retired electrician for Carbondale Electric. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 241 (Shekinah), Moose Lodge 1108, Eagles Lodge 2569 in Carbondale. Survivors: wife, Lorene M.; son, Kenneth M., Casselberry, FL; sister, Crissie McGowan, Carbondale, Vesta Clark, Metropolis, Ill.; one grandson.
