RAY V. TOLER
![]() Ray V. Toler, 67, of McClure, died Friday night (2 Oct 1992) at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. He was born on Aug. 11, 1925, in Dongola, the son of J. Ira and Nina Woodard Toler. He married Annabel Karraker on Aug. 30,1947. She preceded him in death. He married Joann Colyer on Aug. 2, 1975. She survives. He was a member of the Dongola Church of Christ and Dongola Lodge No. 581 AF & AM. He was a retired serviceman with southern Illinois Electric cooperative, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a HAM radio operator, a member of Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW in Anna and a member of the McClure American Legion Post. He is survived by his wife, Joann of McClure; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Norman Dale of Dongola, and Donna and Tony Gowin of Dale City, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jeannie Toler of Dongola; a step daughter, Robyn Walker of Copenhagen, Denmark; four grandchildren, Laura Gowin, Mariah and Blake Dale and Lelah Ann Toler, two brothers, J. Dwight Toler of Lakewood, Colo., and Warren L. Toler of Stone Park; and other relatives. Funeral services for Ray V. Toler were Monday at noon at Crain Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Lucien Bozarth and Ivan Kramer officiating. Interment was in the Dongola American Legion Cemetery with military rites conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post No. 3455 of the VFW.
