1874. Transcribed by K. Torp James George and James Tarploy were arrested for disturbing the Baptist congregation at the Hell Texas Church. Esquire Nading fined each of them $25.00 and cost. Tom Brinton, a scalawag who laid around Mt. Carmel all summer, and who came from, the Lord only knows where, is in jail in Olney, for stealing a suit of clothing from John Owens. |
