[Omitted a long section religious passage with no genealogical information]

His courteous conduct, his wise judgment, his ready response to every call of duty, and the Godly example manifest in his whole life course will long be remembered in the community in which he lived.

A loving wife and five children are left to mourn his loss: Preston T. Bailey of Bloodland, Mo., Mrs. Mattie Hough of Philadelphia, Pa., Mrs. Carrie McClurkin of Oakdale, Lester M. Bailey of Bartlett Springs, Mo., and Mrs. Jennie Davis of Waynesville, Mo. His sons were with him during the last week of his illness and accompanied the remains home to Bloodland, where he was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church he so loved.
