Herman "Henry" was born February 21, 1844 in Hanover, Germany.

At the age of 11 he emigrated to the US and resided in Venedy, Washington County, Illinois

He lived a number of years in St. Louis, Missouri as a child.

He died August 17, 1921 in Washington County, Illinois.

      On November 23, 1865 he married Anna Marie NOBE [ NOBBE ] in Venedy, Washington County, Illinois
      She was born July 30, 1847 in Baltimore, Baltimore County, Maryland.
      She died December 30, 1943 in Carlyle, Clinton County, Illinois.

To this union was born the following children:

1) Heinrich Wilhelm KURTZ: 8 Jul 1867- Infancy. Baptized 28 July 1867.

2) Marie Elise KURTZ: 21 Sep 1869 - 1 Nov 1869. Baptized 17 Oct 1869.

3) Mary Louise KURTZ: 1871- 1959.

He was the son of Herman KURTZ and Anna NOBE or NOBBE.

He died November 7, 1943 in Okawville, Washington County, Illinois.

Herman was born November 5, 1878 in Okawville, Washington County, Illinois.

He was the son of Herman KURTZ and Anna NOBE or NOBBE.

He died May 15, 1946 in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois.

On July 3, 1903, in Okawville, Washington County, Illinois, he married Louise Emilie TEMME.
She was born September 3, 1882 and died April 23, 1977 in Nashville, Washington County, Illinois.

To this union were born the following children:

1) Odella Pauline Anna KURTZ, b. 12 Jun 1904 ; d. 23 Jul 1962.
She married Richard Frances KELLY.

2) Harold Heinrich Hermann KURTZ, b. 11 Jan 1907; d. 24 Jun 1941 in St. Louis, MO.
He married Lydia TEPE.

3) Wilbert August Heinrich KURTZ, b. 25 Jun 1916; d. 6 Jul 1971 in Tucson, AZ.
He married Virginia COOK.
