Navy during W.W.II from July 2, 1943, till Jan. 5, 1946. His rank was Seaman First Class and he was stationed at Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi, Texas. Both Marcella and Rocella were employed at Curlee Clothing Co., St. Louis prior to their marriage.

Adolph was a very young child when his mother died (16 mos. old), and was cared for by his grandmother Reinhardt, with the help of his aunts, Lena and Mary, until his father remarried about a year later.

Is a geologist with an oil co. in Parkersburg, W. Va. Sheri graduated from S.T.U. and taught at Northview School for Mentally Retarded Children, Florissant, Mo., before marriage. After marriage she taught at Crainville Elementary School, Crainville, Illinois, in the field of special education. Is presently doing work toward her Master's Degree in Remedial Reading.

Worked for Missouri Inspection Bureau, St. Louis, before marriage. Fred is in the army, sta-tioned in Washington, DC, where they live and Marcia teaches school. He also is a graduate of S.I.U. and before induction was an agent with the Illinois Bureau of Investigation, Springfield, Illinois., a position he intends to resume after discharge.

Ben attended Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois., and is a member of the Air Force Reserves. He is presently employed by Hoffman Elevator, Hoffman, Illinois.
5. Albert Reinhardt - b. Aug. 30, 1899; m. Nov. 5, 1922, Leona Evers - b. May 24, 1901. 2 children - Dolores & Eunice. Albert is a retired farmer, who has also worked as a carpenter and is presently serving his 2nd term as township highway commissioner. Leona has been the or-ganist for St. Luke's Church, Covington, Illinois., for more than 25 years.
6. Dolores Reinhardt - b. March 12, 1924; m. Aug. 25, 1946, Ralph Kuhlengel - b. Feb. 11, 1922. 1 child - Keith - b. April 13,1957. Before marriage Dolores worked for Hollywood Candy Co., Centralia, Illinois., Okawville Sandal Shoe Co., Okawville and Bussman Fuse Co., St. Louis. After her marriage she was employed by Emerson Electric, St. Louis and Atonement Lutheran School, Florissant, Mo. Ralph worked on his father's farm from 1937-1943 at which time he enlisted in the Navy, serving on the USS. Chafe destroyer escort in the Pacific until April, 1946. After discharge, he worked for American Fixture Co. and Mo. Research Co. He is now employed by McDonald-Douglas Aircraft Co. He also does some farming on their farm near Trenton, Illinois., where they live, having moved there in 1967.

5. Raymond Fred Reinhardt -b. March 24, 1901; d .March 29, 1967 ; m . Oct. 21,1923, Lola Evers (Leona's twin) - b. May 24, 1901. 3 children - Roland; Aletha & Althea (twins). In his early years Ray worked for Illinois. Light & Power Co., Nashville, Illinois., and St. Louis Furniture Co., St. Louis. He was an employee of Fischer Body for more than 40 years. He died of cancer after about a year's illness. Lola was organist at St. Luke's Church, Covington, for 11 years before her marriage.
6. Roland Raymond Reinhardt - b. Dec. 4, 1924; m. Feb. 7, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas, Wanda Nadine Henson. 3 children - Wanda; Karen; Roland. Roland attended James Milliken University for 1 year, after which he enlisted in the Air Force during W.W.II He was a meteorologist, stationed at Randolph Field, San Antonio, and in South America. He attained the rank of Sgt. Wanda was a member of the W. A. C.' s stationed at Kelly Field, San Antonio. Roland is now in the Home Building Business in San Antonio. Both Roland and Wanda have attended San Antonio College.

In 1965 he received his MA from North Texas State and in 1968 his Ph. D. from St. Louis U. He has served as pastor in Texas and St. Louis and is presently pastor of a church in Indianapolis. He also teaches at Ball State U., Muncie, Ind. Aletha attended Valparaiso U. on a scholar-ship from 1950-1952. She then enrolled at Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis, 1952-1955. Received her RN from Deaconess in 1955.

5. Hubert H. Reinhardt - b. Jan. 1, 1904; m. June 17,1928, Marie Anna Clara Engele - b. August 6, 1906. 4 children - Kenneth; Audrey; Wayne; Clarice. Hubert started his career in the jewelry business by working in Gewe's Jewelry Store, Nashville, Illinois. He at-tended a school in Peoria, Illinois., where he learned watch repair. He then went to St. Louis where he was employed by Kiefer Jewelers until about 1938 when he returned to Nashville, having bought out Lawrence Decker's Jewelry Store. He has been in the jewelry business in Nashville until his retirement. He now operates a small watch repair business. He has always been active in church and civic affairs. Clara worked before marriage for Nashville Knitting Mills and for Curies Clothing Co., St. Louis. After their return to Nashville, Clara helped in the jewelry store. She is now an employee of Washington Co. Hospital, Nashville, Illinois.

Kenneth was associated with his father in the jewelry business in Nashville, Illinois., for several years after which he bought a jewelry store in Chester, Illinois. Several years ago he sold his store in Chester and bought one in Carbondale, Illinois., where they now five. He was a member of the Armed Forces.

(now Top Star Milk Products Co.). Karl was a member of the Air Force during Ko-rean Conflict and was for 18 months stationed in Japan where he was in Special Services Divi-sion and attained the rank of Sgt. He is now a Corporal in the Inspection Section of the Illinois. State Police. His headquarters are in Springfield, Illinois., and he is one of six officers who is responsible only to the Chief of the Illinois State Police.

Clarice attended Business College in St. Louis and is Assistant Manager of Nash-ville Savings & Loan Co. Arthur is Assistant Manager of Washington Co. Farm Service Co.
5. William August (Bill) Reinhardt -b- Sept. 4, l905 ; m. June 5,1 927, Sophia Amelia Anna Ella (Ella) - Engels - b. Sept. 29,1904. No children. Bill has spent his entire busi-ness career with Lorenz Bottling Co. and is now a partner. Ella before marriage worked for our local knitting mill and for Curies Clothing Co., St. Louis. They lived a life of devotion to their church and their fellow man. Bill has, for 33 years been a trusty of Trinity Lutheran Church, Nashville, Illinois., and was honored at the time of his retirement, January 10, 1971 with a gift from the Congregation. At that time he was commended for his lifelong and faithful service in the performance of the duties of that office. Ella has been a member of the quilt placing committee for more than 20 years Cradle Roll Chairman 8 years - member of the Condolence com-mittee since its beginning (more than 10 years) and has for a number of years served on the bulletin mailing committee.

Charles worked at the old brickyard in Nashville, Illinois. In later years they lived in St. Louis. After he retired he and his daughter Emma moved back to New Minden where they lived till he died. 2nd marriage was to Minna Ellerbusch Meyer - b. 1868; d. 1924.. Minna had 4 children by her first marriage - Herman (died in infancy); George (1892-1912); Edna - b. Apr. 1890; d. 1970; William Ahlf ; Irene -b .1901; m. Guy Maxwell.
5. Emma Reinhardt -b .Feb. .6, 1890 ; m .about 195l William Farrington who died in 1968. Lives in Farmington, Mo., where William was a pharmacist. Emma worked as instructor in a dance studio in St. Louis and later comptometer work in St. Louis in addition to caring for her father until he died.
5. Edna Reinhardt -b .Oct. 16, 1892; d. Oct. 2, 1935. Edna died at age 42 in Los Angeles, Cal., following surgery for a brain tumor. Her death followed an illness of 3 mos. She had been employed as compositor for the Nashville Journal for a number of years - later lived in Oklahoma City and St. Louis before moving to Los Angeles where for 5 years she was Sec-retary for Edwards Brothers Mortuary. Buried Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville, Illinois.
5. Carolyn Reinhardt - b. Oct. 2, 1895; m. a Mr. Craighead who had a son by a previous mar-riage - both father and son are deceased. Carolyn worked for a number of years as a tele-phone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and later managed a Birdie Hat Shop in St. Louis.
5. Emilie (Millie) Reinhardt b. Oct. 2, 1895. Graduate of St. John's Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis. Lived and worked in St. Louis and California. In Cal., she was Admin-istrator in charge of a Sanitarium in the Los Angeles area. Now retired and lives in St. Louis.

4. Christian H. F. Reinhardt - b. Jan. 27,1867; d. Apr. 24,1936; m. March 13, 1891, Mary Brun - b. Oct. 20, 1869; d. Dec. 5, 1949. Christ was a farmer, who after retirement lived in New Minden. Died of cancer - buried New Minden Cemetery. 6 children - Edward; Marie; Christ; Walter; Alina; Bema.
5. Edward Reinhardt - b. June 2, 1892; m. Millie Karmeier who died in July, 1960. 2 chil-dren - Edward Jr. & Mildred. 2nd marriage to Lena Huge Homburg. They recently moved from Centralia to Nashville, Illinois.

Harold was in construction work - also served in the Marines - now retired. There were two children by his first marriage - Harold Jr. & Jean. 4 grandchildren.

6. Vernon Frederick Reinhardt - b. Aug. 13, 1920, Centralia, Illinois.; m. Gloria Elizabeth Shellhorn - b. Oct. 12, 1925, in Cal. Vernon is a radio operator - supervisor at Aeronautical Radio Inc., where he recently was honored and given a diamond pin for 20 years service. Gloria is a high school librarian. They live at Kent, Washington. 2 daughters Melanie & Vicki.

5. Walter Reinhardt - b. Jan. 21, 1901; m. Nov. 14, 1931, Margaret Ford - b. Apr. 27, 1905, in Sigoumey, Iowa. Margaret worked as a Western Union Telegraph operator in St. Louis, 8 years and then as Civil Service Clerk for the U. S. Army, 20 years. Walter was an auto mechanic from 1922-1964. Now retired. They now live in Reed
Spring, Mo. No children.
5. Alma Reinhardt - b. May 6,1901; m. Frank Radell. Frank worked for Krogers until he went into the Army during W.W.II, became a Major and the Lt. Col. After he was separated from the service, he and Alma bought and operated a grocery store in south St. Louis until they moved to Phoenix and retired. Alma at one time worked as switchboard operator for the telephone co. in St. Louis. They now live in San Diego, California.
5. Bema Reinhardt - b. May 18,1908; m. Jan. 29, 1946, Raymond Glasgow - b. Dec.23, 1910, at Marissa, Illinois. Ray served in the Marines from 1927-1930. He was in construction work in and around the St. Louis area until 1957 when they moved to Florida, where he now works as Coordinator of Construction for the Board of Public Instruction, Sarasota, Co., Fla. Bema worked in St. Louis as office clerk and switchboard operator for Skimer-Kennedy Staty. Co. & Confort Printing. Ray was married before and has a daughter, Faye, by this first marriage. Faye married a man named Erdman and they are the parents of four children.
4. Philip H. Reinhardt - b. March 23,1878; d. Aug. 10, 1965; m. May 20, 1900, Martha L. Wernecke of Covington - b. Feb. 1, 1882; d. Sept. 3, 1970. 2 children - Richard & Frieda. On May 23, 1965, they had the rare privilege of celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Philip was a farmer and they spent their entire lives on their farm, southeast of Nashville un-til their retirement, when they moved to Nashville. Philip lost his arm in a hunting accident while still a young man but could do as much with one arm as many could with two.

Richard was an employee of the Truck Division of Chevrolet, St. Louis, for some years, then moved to Nashville, Illinois., and helped his father farm. He also worked for Diedrich Im-plement Co., Nashville - now retired. Cleo was an employee of Liggett-Meyer Co., St. Louis.

6. Robert Lee Reinhardt - b. 1933; d. 1939 of a ruptured appendix.
5. Frieda Reinhardt - b. 1905; d. 1929. Frieda was working for Peters Shoe Co., St. Louis, when she became ill with tuberculosis. She died at her home southeast of Nashville. She is buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville, Illinois.
4. Caroline (Lena) Reinhardt - b. Apr. 19, 1880; m. Henry Vogelpohl - b. March 12, 1868; d. Aug. 12, 1945. Henry served one term as sheriff of Washington Co. 5 children - Harry; Lewis; Esther; Henry; Florence.
5.Harry Vogelpohl - b. 1904; d. June 15, 1952; m. June 1, 1937, Ruth Brackney at Valmeyer, IL. - b. June 16, 1904, in Tulsa, Oklahoma - d. March 28, 1967, Washington Co. Hos-pital, Nashville, Illinois. After the death of her husband, Ruth worked as a beautician in Clayton, Mo. Harry was employed in the office of Clarkson Coal Co. No children.
5. Lewis Henry (Spike) Vogelpohl - b. March 10, 1906; m. May 1936, Margaret Redus of Centralia, Illinois. - b. Sept. 3, 1910. Lewis was a Stock Broker for Dempsey-Tegeler, St. Louis- for many years until it went out of business. Is now a stock broker with Stifel-Nicolaus Investment Co., St. Louis. Margaret worked as a stenographer in Centralia before marriage. No children. They live in Nashville, IL.
5. Esther Vogelpohl - b. 1908; m. Homer R. Hisey - b. 1906; d. 1960. No children. Homer was the son of Mrs. Alpha Hisey, who owned and operated the State Theatre, Nashville, Illinois., for a number of years. Homer also was in the theater business. Esther is employed by the State Theatre and makes her home with her mother.
5. Henry (Cotton) Vogelpohl - b. 1912; m. 1942 Pauline Sellers. 1 daughter - Peggy. Henry served his country in the Army Air Force during W.W.II - flew reconnaissancemissions over enemy territory in Germany. Pauline is a registered nurse. They live in Dal-las, Texas.

5. Florence Vogelpohl - b. 1916; m. William Luce. 2 daughters - Sara & Ann. Florence served in the Waves during W.W.II. William was a Navy flyer who retired with the rank of Captain. He now works for McDonald-Douglas Air Craft Co., Long Beach, Cal., as Director of Foreign Affairs. They live in Long Beach.
6. Sara Taylor Luce - b. 1950; m. Nov. 23, 1971, David Crockett of Sacramento, Cal. Sara attended Brigham Young University.

4. Mary Christine Justine Reinhardt - b. March 5, 1883; d. June 25, 1967; m. May, 1902, Henry F. Schierbecker - b. May 7, 1879; d. Nov. 11, 1929. 2 children - Alta & Bema. The first 5 years of their married life were spent in Piedmont, Mo., where Henry worked for Carter & Wayland Lumber Co. They then moved to St. Louis and for 12 years Henry was Bookkeeper and Lumber Buyer for Abels-Taussig Lumber Co., E. St. Louis, IL. He then went into business for himself. The name of the company which was incorporated in 1920 was Central States Tie & Lumber Co. and had offices in the Arcade Building, St. Louis.
5. Alta Irma Schierbecker - b. Aug. 16,1903, in Piedmont, Mo. Alta attended Mo. U. School of Journalism one year and St. Louis School of Arts Wash-ington University. She was Advertising Copywriter for Brown Shoe Co., St. Louis Copy Chief Spiegel Inc., Chicago - worked in the Sales Dept., Saks Fifth Ave. Debutante Shop, Chicago and as Secretary for Langford Inc., Chicago. Now retired.
5. Bema Marie Schierbecker -b. March 29,1 907; m. Aug. 17, 1934, George J. Wakely - b. April 23, 1906, in Fairport Harbor, Ohio. 1 child - David. Bema graduated from Mo. U. in 1929 with a BS in Business Administration - Social Serv-ice Curriculum. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega social sorority & Phi Chi Theta Business Adm. sorority. Did social work at St. Louis Children's Aid Society, Atlanta Child Welfare, Toledo Child and Family Agency, Toledo Lutheran Welfare. George has a BS in Business Adm. from Ohio U. Member Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity - Mason, Scottish Rite, Shriner. Owner of Chippewa Country Club, Toledo, Ohio, and past owner of theaters in Fayette, Woodville and Gibsonburg, Ohio. Retired 1960. They now live in Sarasota, Florida.
6. David Neal Wakely b. Feb. 24, 1936; m. July 18, 1960, Frances Beury of Lewisburg, W. Va. 4 children Susan Michelle - b. May 21, 1961 Jane Leigh - b. Oct. 12, 1963; Kathryn Ann b. Jan. 14, 1966 Steven David b. May 6, 1968. David was born in St. Louis but the family moved to Fayette, Ohio, in Oct. of 1936. He graduated with honors from Maumee Valley Country Day School, To , in 1953. While there he participated in sports - excelling in basketball, football and golf. He graduated first in his class scholastically from the School of Bus. Adm. of the U. of Mich. (Actuary Course) 1957. At the U. of Mich. he was selected for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma Bus. Honorary fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi (all school honorary fraternity), was awarded a key for highest honors in School of Bus. Adm. by Alpha Kappa Psi, and the recipient of the Oren E. Scott award for distinguished scholarship in social sciences. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta social fraternity and the U. golf team. He worked for Bowles Andrews & Towne, insurance, pension & management consulting firm in Atlanta, Ga., and while there passed required exams to become, at 23, the youngest Fellow in the Society of Actuaries in the U. S. He then attended law school, received his degree and passed the Ga. Bar. While in Atlanta he was a member of the National Guard for 6 years. David started his own actuarial consulting firm in Atlanta, where they lived until 1966 when they moved to Clearwater, Fla. He now heads the firm of Wakely and Associates Inc. He has passed the Flor-ida Bar. Is past pres. of the Southeastern Region of the Society of Actuaries. Frances attended Stephens College, Columbia, Mo. Graduate of U. of Maryland, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Was chosen Beauty Queen of the University.
