The North Prairie Cemetery in Huegely is in a rural area of Washington County, in Hoyleton Township, north of Nashville, Illinois.
In the surrounding area are many family graveyards, some date back to the mid 1800s.
The "Kleemann Cemetery" was in Section 17/20, Hoyleton Twp.
The "Krughoff Cemetery" was located across the creek and northeast of the H. and C. Brink
There was also an old cemetery on the far right side of the creek up on a hill as soon as you enter
The following is a brief description of each cemetery and its location. |
| Brink | 1. Brink Cemetery: | Two probable family graveyards exist in areas on the original H. & C. Brink farm. This land is now owned by descendents, W. Huckshold and M. Clouser. This land is in Section 30, Hoyleton Twp 1 S, R 2 W. One stone was found on a hillside west of a pond, which is southwest of the current home. It was discovered while plowing in an area believed to contain a very large old graveyard. Nothing else remains. Three graves were located in a field east of the home at 18835 North Creek Rd., Drive north on hwy 127 from I-64 and turn right on Huegely Road. Turn left on North Creek Road (the second drive to the left from Hwy 127). The cemetery contains three graves and is fenced in. |

| Meyers | 2. Meyers Cemetery: | This cemetery is located in the front yard of the former Amos Rixmann farm in Section 32, Hoyleton Twp 1 S, R 2 W. Drive north of I-64 on hwy 127, turn right on Huegely Road. Pass North Creek Road and at the next intersection with North Prairie Road, turn right. Follow the road for a couple of miles until you see the graves in the front yard near the road. |

| 3. Old Zion Evangelical Cemetery | It is sometimes referred to as the original Zion Evangelical Cemetery. It was on the original Friederich (Hesemann) Krughoff farm and used by many of the surrounding families regardless of their religious affiliation. The old cemetery was fenced in during the early 1970s and a large stone listing those people who are buried there including the year of their birth and the year of their death was erected in 1974. It is located in Section 29, Hoyleton Twp. Drive north of I-64 on hwy 127, turn right on Huegely Road. Pass North Creek Road on the left and next you come to North Prairie Road. Turn left. When North Prairie Road makes a right turn, do not turn but continue straight and the cemetery is in a field at the top of a small hill to your left. |
