The Staude Cemetery is one of the oldest in Washington County. It is located east of Okawville, Section 22, 1S - R4W, in Okawville Township. Directions are as follows; I-64 exit onto St. Hwy. 177, west towards town. Turn Left/South onto Henhouse Road and continue to your left. This road is the one by Burger King & the truck stop, follow it on out of town. The first intersection will be with Fifth Street, turn left, as you start traveling east down the road, look to your Right, the cemetery is on a hill very soon after you make the turn. Burials are still being done there and someone maintains it. Fred Fieseler used to maintain it and I think he still does. 30 March 2008, Karla S. Skabialka
