Dan Hay
Capt. Dan Hay, aged 55 years, died at his home in Norman, Okla., April 5, 1897. He was born in Nashville and served as captain of Co. I, 80th Illinois volunteers, in the Civil War. He was captured near Rome, Ga., in 1863 and remained a prisoner in Libby Prison until the close of the war. He was a member of the firm of Hay Bros., who organized the first bank in this county and for years was editor of the NASHVILLE JOURNAL.
