Henry E.F. Hohman passed away at his home in Nashville at the age of 59 years on April 17 [1897]. He was born in Sidinghausen, Germany, in 1838 and came to this country in 1860.

He served in the Union army in the Civil War. Mr. Hohman was united in marriage with Caroline Hoffman on May 18, 1866. Eight children were born to this union, one of whom died in infancy.
