Andrew Jackson Boswell

Son of Felix and Elizabeth (nee Green) Boswell.
Was born on January 28, 1840 in Jefferson County, Illinois.
At the age of 20 years, he is listed on page 666 of the 1860 US Census as
living with his parents at Post Office : Ashley, Washington County, Illinois.

On February 10, 1870 he married Margary E. McBrien in Newton County, Missouri
On December 18, 1925 he died in Miami, Ottawa County, Oklahoma

He served during the Civil War with the Union Army,
with Co. F, 44th Illinois Infantry Regiment.
He enlisted on July 1, 1861 in Ashley, Washington County, Illinois
At the time of enlistment he was 5' 10" tall with light hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.

FALL FROM TRUCK FATAL TO MAN, 86

A. J. Boswell of North Miami Okla., Succumbs
Accident on Commerce Okla. Highway

Andrew J. Boswell, 86 years old, who lived on Route 2, North Miami, died shortly after noon today at Miami Baptist hospital, as a result of injuries received when he fell from a truck near North Miami. Death was attributed to concussion of the brain. Boswell fell to the concrete pavement when attempting to alight from the rear end of a moving truck, on which he was riding. He had started to walk from Commerce Okla. to North Miami and had been picked up by the passing truck driver.

He is survived by two sons, Ben Boswell of Melson Kansas, & Fred Boswell of Purdy, MO., one daughter, Miss Effie Long of North Miami.

Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami Okla.
