Twelve days after the deth of his wife, William Young, 67 year old former local miner, died of a heart attach while visiting a friend, William Black, in his boyhood home near Oakdale, Ill., at 11 o'clock Saturday night. The attack came one hour before he died.

By a strange coincident, his wife also died of heart trouble. She fell dead in their home here on January 6.

Mr. Young was a native of the Oakdale vicinity and was born on April 11, 1868. He married Miss Flora Viola Hampton in Belleville on November 21, 1898.

He leaves three sons, Leonard and Carsel of Marissa, and Wilfred of Pinckneyville; a daughter, Mrs. Stella William of Marissa, and three grandchildren.

The body was brought to the home of his brother-in-law, William Hampton here Sunday night where it remained until the funeral at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Then the body was taken to the Baptist Church where Rev. J. H. Schiebe, the pastor conducted services. Burial was in the Marissa Cemetery.
