MRS. SAMMIE OWEN DIES LATE SUNDAY

Mrs. Ollie Owen, 50, wife of Sammie Owen, well known Fairfield barber, died at her home west of Fairfield at 10 p.m. Sunday after an illness of several months. She was born September 2, 1898, in Wayne county and spent her life here. Mr. and Mrs. Owen had no children. Funeral services were conducted from the Bailey church Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Guy Roney officiating. Interment was in the Bailey cemetery.

MRS. OWENS DIES

Mrs. Sammie Owen, 50, passed away at her home southwest of town Sunday following an eighteen months’ illness with cancer. She had been confined to her bed the past week. Funeral services were conducted from the Bailey church on Wednesday afternoon (today) at 2:00 o’clock by Rev. Guy Roney. Burial was in the Bailey cemetery. Mrs. Owen, daughter of Tillman Jones, was born in Wayne County on September 2nd, 1898. Surviving is her husband.
