Cates Cemetery is still kept up.
Many stones are in varying conditions making it difficult to get an accurate transcription, and by the size of
the cemetery there are probably quite a few graves unaccounted for.
To reach Cates Cemetery leaving from Johnsonville, go east on Hwy 16 about 1 and a half miles and turn right (south)
onto CR1000-E go one mile and turn left (east) onto CR 1700-N 3/10's of a mile down on your left is the entrance
to Cates Cemetery.
