MRS. HENSON DIES
Mrs. Robert (Lula) Henson, 58, Of Johnsonville, died at 10:55 Sunday night at Memorial Hospital from cancer. The body has been removed to the Long Funeral Home in Cisne. Services will be conducted at Mt. Pleasant church at 2 o’clock Wednesday with burial in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 o’clock Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heilman arrived home Sunday from Butler, Pa. where they were called by the death of his sister Katherine Snow, who died of cancer. Funeral services were held in Butler Saturday.
MRS. EDNA HANEY DIES AT AGE 73
Mother Of Doyle Edgington Here Passed Away Sunday; Wayne City Rites
Mrs. Edna Pearl Edgington Haney, 73, of Wayne City, died at 6:48 a.m. Sunday at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Mt. Vernon, where she had been a patient nine days. Mrs. Haney lived for many years in the Orchardville vicinity but had made her home at Wayne City the past two or three years.
RITES TUESDAY
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Pleasant Hill (Needmore) church, with Bro. Loyal Gallaher officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may now call at Richardson Chapel. Edna Pearl, daughter of Jeff and Mary McCONNAUGHAY Greenwalt, was born in Jefferson County October 22nd 1891. In 1914 she was married to Hershel Edgington, with four children born to this union. Her husband passed away in 1920. A daughter, Almeta Edgington, died at age 23, and a daughter, Pauline Grote, died at age 30.
WED WALTER HANEY
Later, in 1943, she wed Walter Haney, who preceded her in death in 1953. Surviving are two sons, Doyle Edgington of Fairfield; and John Edgington, of Wayne City; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Ira Greenwalt, of Keens.
MRS. EVELYN SAMS, OF WYNOOSE, DIES
Was Former County Correspondent For Wayne County Press; Rites Held
Mrs. Evelyn Bell Sams, 53 a well-known resident of the Wynoose vicinity, died Thursday afternoon at Richland Memorial Hospital, Olney, following a long period of ill health. She was a former country correspondent for the Press at Wynoose.
RITES HELD SUNDAY
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Wynoose E. U. B. church with Rev. Albert Atteberry officiating. Internment was in Macedonia Cemetery in Edwards County. Her husband, Wayne H. Sams died November 1st. Mrs. Sams was born in Wayne County the daughter of S. R. and Etta Bell COUTS Baker. She was a long member of E. U. B. Church of Wynoose.

Surviving are five step-children, Robert W. Sams, of Fordsville, Ky.; Clayton Sams of Wayne Mich., Mrs. Vera Steury, of Danville; Mrs. Louise Witzgall, of Romulus, Mich.; and Mrs. Betty Lou Valdez, of Detroit, Mich.; 12 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; a brother Russell Baker, of East St. Louis; and three sisters, Mrs. Maudie Hamilton and Mrs. Ruby Harrolle, both of Olney; and Mrs. Ruth Taylor of Champaign.
PASTOR DIES
Rev. Milton Bolton, Pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Vincennes, Ind. died suddenly Saturday evening. He was formerly the pastor for Hope Lutheran Church, Mt. Carmel, and assisted in Christ Lutheran Parish in Fairfield during the illness of the late Rev. Gerhard Oberheu. The funeral will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. in Vincennes.
MRS. MARY HEADLEY DIES AT HEYWORTH
Was On Visit With Daughter; Lived In Golden Gate Ellery Area
Mrs. Mary Headley, 77, of the Golden Gate Ellery vicinity, died Saturday at Heyworth. She was found dead in bed at home of a daughter, Mrs. Andrew Allen, where she had been visiting one week. Her death was attributed to a heart attack. Mrs. Headley had been under the care of a physician for a heart condition.
CHARLES HEADLEY’S WIDOW
For the past 11 months Mrs. Headley had lived with a daughter, Mrs. Donald Harper, in Albion. She was the widow of Charles Headley, who preceded her in death in June 1959. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon (today) from Bethel Church, near Ellery, with Rev. Niles Stone officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mary, daughter of Sylvester and Deborah ASHER Tackett, was born in Morgan County, Indiana. She was married to Mr. Headley in 1906.
Surviving are a son, Allen Headley, of Ellery, Supervisor of Leech Township; four daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Elsie) Hooper, Fairfield; Mrs. John (Frieda) Jones, Golden Gate; Mrs. Andrew (Marjorie) Allen, Heyworth; and Mrs. Donald (Lois) Harper, of Albion; 23 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.

ROY RICHARDSON, Wayne City Dies
Retired Minister Passed Away Wednesday Afternoon at the Hospital
Edward Roy Richardson, 77, retired Wayne City Minister, died at 5:40 Wednesday afternoon at Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for some time.
FUNERAL FRIDAY
Funeral services will be at Olive Branch Church at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. H. H. Mayberry officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City after 6 p.m. Thursday (today).
Edward Roy son of E. P. and Nancy RAWLS Richardson was born in Hamilton County January 23rd 1887. He was married to Stella GRITTON in 1906, she died in 1920. Later in 1920 he wed Minnie WILLIAMS, who preceded him in death in June of this year.

MRS. EUNICE LANE DIES AT AGE 77
Longtime resident of Geff-Cisne Area Had Heart Condition; Rites Friday
Mrs. Eunice Lane, 77 former well-known Geff-Cisne area resident, died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Clay County Hospital in Flora, where she had been a patient six days. She was the mother of State Trooper Alfred Lane, of Fairfield. Mrs. Lane had a heart condition and suffered a serious heart attack about four years ago. . She had resided at Flora the past 20 years.
CLOYD C. MALONE DIES AT HOSPITAL
Father Of Mrs. Bonnie Savage And Mrs. Jean Anderson
Cloyd C. Malone, 82, of Springerton, died at 5:35 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient since August 1st. The father of Mrs. Bonnie Savage and Mrs. Jean Anderson here, Mr. Malone had been in ill health for several years. He was a retired farmer.
RITES FRIDAY
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the
Springerton RDLS church, with Elder Dale Warren, of Fairfield and Elder Gilbert
Wilson, of Wayne City, officiating. Interment will be in Enfield Cemetery. Friends may call at Emmett Funeral Home in Enfield. He was a native of Hamilton County.

Surviving are his widow, the former Maggie Rockett, five sons, Dale, of Peoria; Donald, of Pekin; Lester, of Chicago; Clyde, of Mt. Vernon; and Ervin of Carmi; six daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Savage and Mrs. Jean Anderson, both of Fairfield; Mrs. Dorothy Daniels, of Flora; Mrs. Thelma Moore, of Granite City; Mrs. Zelma Defoe, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Mrs. Lois Bathe, of Bridgeport; 30 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Two children preceded him in death.

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. BERTHA HAYES
Former Cisne – Pleasant Grove Resident Died Monday At Clinton Nursing Home
Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha Florence Haynes, former Cisne – Pleasant Grove resident, were conducted Wednesday morning from DeSelms Funeral Home in Cisne, with Bro. Duane Clark officiating. Interment in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
DIED AT CLINTON
Mrs. Haynes, who lived at Clinton in recent years, died at the Hallsville Nursing home in that city at 2:05 a. m. Monday. She was born September 20th 1891, the daughter of John and Mary LARKIN Beck. Her husband, James T. Haynes, preceded her in death. The couple had no children.
TWO BROTHERS SURVIVE
Only survivors are two brothers, Lawrence Beck of Clinton, Mo.; and Frank Beck, of Rantoul.
