Anna Marie Heide was born 29 July 1859 in Berlin Germany. She came with her parents, August & Rosa Heide, at the age of 12 to America. The family lived in Chicago for awhile and then moved to a farm northwest of Coleta.

Anna was married to Willilam Ellmaker on October 19, 1882 in Cook County IL. He died in 1894.

She was the mother of four children - Two sons - Earl F. and William G. (14 January 1894). Two daughters, Lillian Ella and Edith.
