Mr. and Mrs. Earl Adams and daughter Shirley have moved from their farm to Erie and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Damhoff will occupy the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bush from Coleta will move to the farm vacated by Mr. Damhoff, known as the Thurston Adams place.
Mr. and Mrs. John Ewers and sons, Donald and Robert of Round Grove, were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Ewers.
Mr. and Mrs. L.C. Meyer and son Larry, accompanied by their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mickle and family of Hanover, drove to Galesburg Saturday and spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J. Kirkland Likes and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Robinson, son Chester and daughter Mrs. Delbert Christensen returned home from Hampton Ia., Sunday evening and are now packing to move to their home in Erie this week. Fenton friends gave them a farewell party recently with the self invited guests enjoying a Bible study, old fashioned spelling bee and other games. A lunch was served at the end of a lovely evening spent with the Robinsons.

C.L. Funderbergh 45, was arrested on a charge of arson today, accused of setting fire to a vacant residence and several buildings on the estate of his late father. Sheriff Boyd Kimmel quoted Funderbergh as saying he was angry because he didn't get what he considered was his share of his father's estate.His father, C.F. Funderberg, died about a year ago. The property was left in the name of his widow Mrs. Grace Funderbergh. Funderbergh had been living with a sister Mrs. Roy Blaisdell on an adjoining farm a mile east of Fenton in Whiteside County. The fire destroyed the residence and four buildings which were being remodeled for the prospective tenant. Funderbergh was held in jail unable to furnish $15,000 bond.

Adrian Lynch, 48, a Fenton Twp. farmer was fatally injured in an accident on his farm yesterday. He was found crushed under his tractor by his wife Elsie.
