A romance that began during their college days at Ames culminated today in the marriage of Irvin Rasmusson of New Orleans and Miss Carrie Sprinkle of Morrison. The ceremony, which was informal, took place at high noon at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Sprinkle, on east Main Street. Only the immediate relatives and friends of the bride, 20 in all, were present. The ceremony took place in the living room, with a large beautiful fern and a big basket of pink roses on each side for a background. The bridal couple stood before a large bay window on the east side of the room. Rev. J. N. Dingle, pastor of the Methodist church, performed the ceremony.

The single ring service was used, with little Billy Bull carrying the ring in a pink rose. Mr. and Mrs. Joy Frederick of Walnut, IL, who were married a couple weeks ago, were groomsman and matron of honor. Mrs. Frederick was formerly Miss Verna Sprinkle. The bride wore a gown of white georgette, trimmed with rosettes of rhinestones. The matron of honor wore her wedding gown, which was of rose georgette. Following the ceremony a three course dinner was served. The bridal table was decorated with pink and white snap dragons and pink roses, and the color scheme of pink and white was also carried out in the other decorations in the three courses. In addition to the large table, there were two smaller ones.

Immediately after the couple left in the groom's car for Iowa, where they will visit for a short time. They will be at home July 11 at New Orleans, where Mr. Rasmusson is a civil engineer for the government. He had anticipated a longer vacation, but due to the floods at New Orleans, his work required that he return sooner. The bride's going away gown was of blue georgette, with hat an coat to match, and tan shoes and hose. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Sprinkle, and has spent most of her life in Morrison. She graduated from the Morrison high school in 1922, attended Beloit, Wis., college one year, and received a B. S. degree from Ames three years later. During the past year she has taught home economics and English in the Delmar high school.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Rasmusson of Marshalltown, Iowa. He graduated from Ames in 1925, receiving a bachelor of science degree. Since that time he has been employed at New Orleans as civil engineer for the government.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Rasmusson, parents of the groom, and his brothers, Stanley and Revoe, and his sister, Mrs. Perry Paul, and Mr. Paul, all of Marshalltown, Mr. and Mrs Bert Strayer of Rock Island, and Mr. and Mrs Joy Frederick of Walnut, Ill.
