Robert Rice to Beverly Harting
Lloyd Williamson to Georgiana Harting

A double wedding, uniting Robert Rice, son of Howard Rice of Thomson, to Beverly Harting, daughter of Donald Harting of Clinton , Ia., and Georgianna Harting, daughter of Lloyd Harting of Cleveland, O., to Lloyd Williamson, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Williamson, of Rock Falls, was performed at 5 o’clock Saturday evening in the home of Rev. Harry Shiffer. Attendants for the couples were Mr. and Mrs. Bert Harting of Sterling . Mrs. Rice was dressed in navy blue with red accessories and a red rose corsage. Mrs. Williamson chose an all white ensemble and wore yellow roses in her corsage. Both of the young ladies have been living in Sterling with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harting, 6 East Fifth street . Beverly Harting Rice attended Sterling high school, and both grooms attended Rock Falls high school. Mr. Williamson entered the navy in 1944 and was discharged February, 1945.

Sunday evening the couples left for a short trip through southern Illinois . After the wedding Saturday evening the wedding party went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. David Williamson for refreshments. Friends and neighbors who greeted the young couples were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Thompson, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Harting, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Harting, Howard Rice, W. Petrashek, Haley Holeman, Salem, Carroll Fisher, Wanda Williamson, June Teachout, Vera Jackley, Betty Williamson, Bob Ball, Gene Harris, Bud Uhles, Bob Bertlozzi, Leo Letcher, Marvin Conley, Leo Williamson, Bill Rice, Eugene Nance, Jim Linton, Kenneth Unger, Bob Edeus, Keith Hasenyager. A dinner was given in their honor in the David Williamson home on Sunday before they left on their honeymoon. The immediate families were invited to the dinner.
