A very elegant affair took place at the residence of Mr. C. H. Payson, of Rock Falls, Thursday at 1 P.M., it being
the occasion of the marriage of his daughter, Miss Lizzie, to J. W. White, of Tampico. The ceremony was performed by
the Rev. A.H. Miller, in the ample parlor of the bride's home which was beautifully decorated with flowers.
The house was lighted by gas. The costume of the bride was a combination of pink nun's veiling and brocaded satin.
The happy couple expected to leave for Tampico Thursday evening. There were about sixty-five guests present,
among whom were Mr. Henry Payson and wife, of Chicago. The gifts were numerous and elegant.
