William had taken a shotgun along thinking that he might see a rabbit to shoot. While driving home the gun accidently discharged and Mrs. Wiersema was shot in the back near the hip. She was removed to Jane Lamb hospital where she is in a very serious condition. She was formerly Miss Helen Van Kampen, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Van Kampen of Fulton, and her many friends here unite in wishing her a speedy recovery from her injuries.
A report from her bedside Tuesday noon is that she is getting along as well as can be expected and if no infection sets in her recovery is assured.
