ANNA MARY (BARTZ) HINRICHS , 37, was born April 23, 1884 in Jordan Township, and died at her home on Genesee Township November 7 at 3 a.m. at the age of 37 years, 6 month and 15 days. Being a child of Christian parents she was brought to the Lord in holy baptism soon after her birth. After being duly instructed in the fundamental teachings of the Christian church she was confirmed in the East Genesee Lutheran church April 8, 1900. On April 18, 1902, she was united in holy matrimony to Henry F. Hinrichs. Four children born to this union remain to mourn her death. They are Edna, Leroy, Bernard “Bennie”, and the babe, Anna Louise. She was always of quiet nature, doing her duty and filling her place in the life of her family. She was a faithful wife to her husband and a good loving mother to her children. Loved by all as she was, she will be missed by her friends and relatives. Only a little over a week ago she enjoyed the blessings of motherhood, having given birth to a healthy baby girl, but her joys soon turned to sorrows, for a few days after, complications set in and she was put on a bed of suffering. We stood at her bedside at different times and prayed with her because of her fever and illness. We gave her into the hands of her Heavenly Father, into his care we commended her, knowing that there she would be well cared for and also knowing that what God did was well done. Last Monday morning her Heavenly Father called her home. So soon a mother’s life has been taken from those who loved her dearly and still needed the loving hand of a mother, but it was God’s will that she should not be with us any longer. Let us therefore learn to say with confidence, “God’s will be done.” Besides her husband and four children she leaves to mourn her death her aged mother, two brothers, and two sisters. May she now rest in peace and the heavenly light shine upon her.”
