EDWARD LAMPKIN - Funeral services for Edward Leroy Lampkin, age 79, who passed away Tuesday at the Prophets Riverview Center, were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Gardner Chapel. The Rev. L.S. Anderson officiated for the services with Mrs. Lyle Dingman serving as the organist. Pallbearers were Donald Bohms, Fred Bridgestock, James Mosher, Henry Frankenfield, Wallace Murphy and Grant Mulcay. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery with the Prophetstown Post 522 American Legion conducting military rites. The Hill Crest Greenhouse was in charge of the floral tributes.

EDWARD H. (FRITZ) LAST , 55, 803 Thome Court, Rock Falls, died Wednesday evening (15 May 1974) at Community General Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. E. A. Henrichs, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rock Falls, officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Rock Falls. Friends may call at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Full military rites will be conducted at the grave. Edward Last was born April 22, 1919 in Lincoln, the son of Edward and Marie Wagenknect Last. He was united in marriage to the former Lorena Patterson on Feb. 7, 1946 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sterling, the couple resided in Rock Falls their entire married life. He served in the army for four years. He had been employed with Commonwealth Edison for 28 1/2 years. He was a member of the Sterling VFW Post 326 and the Rock Falls Legion Post 902. Survivors include his widow, three daughters; Mrs. Douglas (Joann) Harms, Carbondale; Kay and Rena Mae, both at home; five sons, Joseph with the U.S. Navy at Camp La June, Jacksonville, N.C.; Mark, Tony, Lonnie and Michael, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Betty Hendryx, Rock Falls; four brothers, Elmer, Rock Falls; Earl, Sheffield; Donald, Alabama; and Homer, Sterling, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

JULIA (MILLER) LAST , 86, Rock Falls, Route Two, died early this morning (2 May 1968) in her home after an extended illness. The body rests at the Grennan and Son Funeral home where there will be visitation after 2 p.m. Friday. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday by the Altar and Rosary Society of which the deceased was a member at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rock Falls. Funeral rites will be held Saturday morning with a nine o'clock prayer service at the funeral home and requiem mass at 9:30 in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Rock Falls. The burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Julia Miller was born Feb. 2, 1882, in Hamilton Township, Lee County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James F., Miller. She was united in marriage May 17, 1905, with Jascob Lauff in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sterling, by the late Rev. James J. Bennett. Their entire married life has been spent on the farm where Mrs. Lauff's death occurred. Surviving with the husband are three sons, Francis of Rock Falls, Edward of Sterling and James of Morrison. She also leaves two brothers, Charles Miller of Harmon and Thomas Miller of Fort Collins, Colo., nine grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Four borthers and three sisters preceded in death.

ADAM LAUFER was born in Germany March 28, 1837, and died at the Old Soldiers Home at Quincy, Illinois, September 5, 1906, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 7 days. Mr. Laufer came here in an early day and settled in Fair Haven township where he lived until he and his wife moved to Milledgeville where they lived together till about three years ago when Mrs. Laufer died. Since that time Mr. Laufer has spent the most of his time in the Old Soldiers Home at Quincy, Illinois, as he was a soldier in the war of the rebellion and was there when he died. The remains were cared for there and shipped to Milledgeville for burial. The funeral services were held at the Lutheran church Friday afternoon and were in charge of Rev. Paetznick, of Chadwick. The remains were buried in the cemetery at the Jordan Lutheran church where his wife was buried. The only relatives to attend the funeral were two nephews and a niece from Fair Haven.

MRS. HENRY LAUFER ,88, formerly of Tampico, passed away at 5:15 a.m. Saturday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. V. F. Molitor, in Peoria. Death came following a lengthy illness. Prior to residing with her daughter for the past two years, she had resided at 310 5th Ave., Sterling. The body was brought to the Grennan and Son Funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. this evening. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and members will recite the rosary at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, at 9 a.m. in the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church in Sterling. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Tampico. She is survived by two sons, Leo and Joseph Lauff, of Sterling; one daughter, Mrs. Molitor in Peoria; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and one brother. She was preceded by her husband Henry, her parents, one sister and one brother.

JENNIE E. (MURPHY) LAUFF - Funeral services for Mrs. Anthony Lauff, who passed away at her home east of Tampico Monday morning, (13 Nov. 1939) were held at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tampico. Requiem high mass was celebrated by the local pastor, Rev. Fr. T. O. Maguire, assisted by Fr. M. B. Krug of Sterling as deacon, and Fr. Ambrose Weitekamp of Prophetstown as sub-deacon. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The pallbearers were Guy Elmendorf, Hubert Darby, Francis Kobbeman, August Lauff, John McGuire and John McCormick. Jennie E. Lauff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Murphy was born in Hahnaman Township and passed away Monday morning at 7 o'clock following a long illness. She had lived in this community all of her life, except for several years spent in Chicago. She was married to Anthony Lauff in the Tampico St. Mary's Church of which she was a member, and was identified with the Altar and Rosary Society. Because of many acts of kindness throughout her life, her passing is mourned by the entire community. She is survived by her husband, two brothers, James and William Murphy of Hahnaman; three sisters, Mary and Elizabeth of Hahnaman and Alice of Chicago.

JOSEPH LAUFF , 75, well known resident of Sterling, passed away at 7 a.m. Saturday in his home at 409 West Eleventh Street, following an illness of the past twoeyears. He had been critically ill the last few weeks. The remains were removed to the Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call this evening. Funeral rites will be held Monday morning, with a requiem high mass at nine o'clock in St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Tampico. The Holy Name Society of which Mr. Lauff was a member, will recite the rosary at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Surviving Mr. Lauff are his widow, Mrs. Margaret Lauff, two children, Arthur Lauff of Jacksonville and Florence, wife of W. E. Hedrick of Sterling, four brothers, John, August, Henry and Jacob Lauff, and two grandchildren, Allison and Maryann Hedrick. One brother, Anthony Lauff, preceded him in death.

RUTH (LUTYENS) LAUTS , 82, 513 E 5th St., Rock Falls, died Monday evening at Rock Falls Colonial Acres Nursing home. Funeral services will be held at the Wheelock-Allen Funeral Home in Rock Falls, Thursday, 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Clark Devore, pastor of the Church of Christ of Tampico, and the Rev. Philip LaMar, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Rock Falls, officiating. Burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial has been established for the Heart Fund. Mrs. Lauts was born July 30, 1890, the daughter of 0, at Tampico. She was united in marriage to Anton Lauts on Feb. 5, 1949, who preceded her in death on April 2, 1970. She was a member of the Tampico Church of Christ, Rock Falls Royal Neighbors and the Loyal Circle Kings Daughters. Survivors include one brother, Earl, Rock Falls; one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Ina) Warehime, Sterling; one step-daughter, Mrs. Harry (Mary Jane)) Leuske, Rock Falls; two step-sons, Ed Lauts, Rock Falls and Paul, Tampico, and several step grandchildren. Her parents, husband, one sister and one step-son preceded her in death.

EDWARD LAWTON , who was the first lieutenant of the Morrison company during the war, died at the hospital in Springfield, Sunday.

OLIVER LAWTON , one of the well known farmers residing in Union Grove, died very unexpectedly Friday morning. Although he had been complaining of heart trouble for some time and was not feeling the best. He retired as usual and at about midnight his wife was awaken by a sound. She called to him and received no reply. She lighted a lamp and found that he was dying. Mr. Lawton was born near Hudson, N. Y. in 1849. The family came to Illinois shortly after his birth and settled in Jo Daviess county. Later he moved to Whiteside county where he has since resided. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Elizabeth, residing at home; one brother, Joseph Lawton, residing near Hanover, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Caroline Moser, residing at Dubuque, Ia. The funeral will be held at the home at 2:30 Sunday afternoon, interment at Grove Hill cemetery.

JOSEPHINE (MITCHELL) LEITZ - Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Leitz, who died suddenly Friday morning at the Hill Nursing Home, will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the Melvin Funeral Home. The pastor of the First Christian Church of Sterling, Rev. Brace E. Johnson, will officiate and burial will take place in Oak Knoll Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Melvin Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The daughter of P.W. and Julia Finn Mitchell, she was born on Sept. 13, 1883 in Sterling. She was the widow of the late Irwin E. Leitz and had spent her entire life in this community where she was an active member of the First Christian Church. Surviving are a son, Dale Cohenour, RFD 2, Sterling, and a brother, Robert Mitchell, Sterling. There are also four grandchildren surviving and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ralph, and four brothers and four sisters.

ELIZA JANE LEIGH , who for many years resided on a farm near Milledgeville passed away Nov. 22, at the home of her son, Theron Prindle in Steamboat Rock, Ia., aged about 72 years. Cancer of the bowels caused her death. She was twice married, one son from the first marriage, Theron Prindle, and three sons and one daughter, Dr. Henry Leigh, Joseph Leigh, A. C. Leigh and Mrs. H. J. Wilson, from the second marriage surviving her. The funeral and interment were in Steamboat Rock.

GEORGE LELAND , of Sterling died at his home last Friday after an illness of fifteen years. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Riverside Cemetery. Mr. Leland was born in Canada Jan. 10, 1840 and died at the age of 62 yrs. 2 mos. and 11 days. He served in the civil war 4 1/2 years. In 1868 he married Miss Elizabeth G. Hanna of Milledgeville who with four children are left to mourn the loss.

HARRY A. LEUSCHKE - Funeral arrangements are complete for Harry A. Leuschke, 66, a former Rock Falls business man, who died Saturday afternoon (11 Jun 1979 in the Sterling Professional Care Center, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be Tuesday at the Rock Falls United Methodist Church at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Lowell D. Allen and the Rev. Ernest C. Carder, assistant, officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church Tuesday at 11 a.m to lie in state until the hour of services. Friends may call at the Wheelock Allen Funeral Home on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial has been established to the Rock Falls United Methodist church. Harry A Leuscke was born June 17, 1911 at Hannibal, Mo., the son of Henry G. and Margariete Feldman Leuschke. He was united in marriage to the former Mary Jane Lauts, Dec. 14, 1934 in the Rock Falls Congregational Church and the couple lived their entire married life in Rock Falls, operating the bakery for 28 years. He was then employed at the Rock Falls Foodlane for 14 years. He was a member of Rock Falls United Methodist church, a former trustee of the church and member of the ushering staff. He also served on the Rock Falls Elementary School board for 16 years; a former Rock Falls Rotarian. He is survived by his widow, Mary Jane; one daughter, Mrs. Keith (Joanne) Telford, Emington; two sons, Ronald, Rock Falls and Marvin, Paw Paw; one sister, Mrs. Raymond (Dorothy) Hughes, Rock Falls; one brother, Earl Leuschke, Evansville, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, August and one grandson, David Telford.

NETTIE R. LIBBY - Funeral services for Mrs. Nettie R. Libby were held Tuesday afternoon in the Wheelock Funeral Home with Rev. A. A. McCracken, pastor of the First Methodist Church of ST. Petersburg, Fla., officiating. Burial was in Rock Falls Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mrs. Wayne Larson was organist during the service while Wayne Larson sang Sweet Hour of Prayer and Lead, Kindly Light. Pallbearers were William Sowless, Danny Daniels, Edward Hendricks, Earl George, Ronald Schultz and Golder Pippert. Flowers were cared for by members of the Rock Falls Rebekahs, J. H. Montague Lodge, including Mrs. earl Eshleman, Mrs. Troy Baker and Mrs. Ivan Baker.

ELIZABETH MAE (KELLEY) LINDEN , 84, lifelong resident of Tampico, passed away Saturday at the Colonial Acres Rest Home, Rock Falls, after an illness of some time. Prayer services were held this morning at 10 a.m. at the Schmitt Chapel, conducted by John Joe Cooney, followed by services at 10:30 in the the St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Robert P. Donovan officiating. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Tampico. Pallbearers were John Joe Cooney, Edward Egan, Joseph Burke, William Adams, Harry Hurd Jr., and Peter Burke. Elizabeth Linden was born May 16, 1884, in Tampico, the daughter of Patrick and Mary Ford Kelley. She was educated in the Tampico schools. She married Herman Linden on Jan. 27, 1915 in Tampico. She was a member of the St. Mary's Church of Tampico and the Altar and Rosary Society. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Katherine Rasmussen of Sterling and several nieces and nephews.

FRED "FRITZ" LINDEN , 80, 305 E. 2nd St., Tampico, died Wednesday evening in Eveningside Rest Home, Morrison. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Schmitt Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Good, pastor of the United Methodist Church of Tampico, officiating, and burial in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. (today). Fred Linden was born July 17, 1890 in Sweden. He came to this country as a young man and farmed in the Tampico area most of his life. He was a member of the Tampico United Methodist Church. He is survived by one son Raymond, with whom he had made his home and six grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, the former Maude E. Milby who died five weeks ago and one son Roy.

LOUIS MELVIN LINDEN JR. - Graveside services for Louis Melvin Linder Jr., infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Linder of Walnut, were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Riverside Cemetery, with the Rev. MAUDE (MILBY) LINDEN , 77, Tampico, died Wednesday afternoon at Eveningside Nursing Home, Morrison. There will be visitation after 7 p.m. Thursday in the Schmitt Funeral Chapel, Tampico. Funeral rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel by the Rev. Raymond Book of the Tamkpico United Methodist Church. The burial will be in Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Linden was born April 17, 1894 in Hodgenville, Ky., the daughter of George and Mary Read Milby. She is survived by her husband, Fritz, who resides at Eveningside Nursing Home, Morrison, one son Raymond, Tampico; six grandchildren and one sister. Preceding in death were one brother, two sisters and one son Roy in 1965.
May 8 - Saturday - Funeral: Services were held at Schmitt Chapel in Tampico on Friday, May 7 at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. Maude E. Linden of Tampico. Rev. Raymond Good of United Methodist Church officiating. Organ recordings were played as Prelude and Postlude. Flower aides were Mrs. Charles Hamblock and Mrs. Clayton Smith. Interment was in Tampico Memorial Cemetery with Francis McCormick, John Pierceson, Clifford Akridge, Walter Kerkhove, Clarence Bollivar and Carl Nelson serving as pallbearers.

MAY (HOWLAND) LOFGREN , aged 68 years, passed away Monday evening at 5:30 o'clock at the Morrison Hospital where on Saturday she had submitted to major surgery. The body was removed to the Helm and Helm funeral home and services will be held at the Leon Church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. I. F. Wintera will officiate and interment will be in Leon Cemetery. May Howland, daughter of Myron and Priscilla Ellworth Howland, was born May 13, 1878, at Leon, and was married January 13, 1904, to Carl Lofgren in the home of her parents in Leon. The couple resided in Leon all of their married life. Mrs. Lofgren was a member of the Leon Church and the W.S.C.S., also the Social Missionary Society. Surviving are one son Fred, two brothers, Fred Howland of Tampico and Frank of Leon, also one sister, Miss Vernie Howland of Leon. Mrs. Lofgren was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, who passed away August 9, 1937, and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Cox and Mrs. Izora Goodell, both of Leon.

BARBARA M. (WIRTH) LOUGHE , 90, of 1405 Ave., Rock Falls, died Dec. 28, 1993, at Coventry Village, Sterling. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grennan Funeral Home, Sterling, with the Rev. Steven Ohrtman, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be a Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Mrs. Loughe was born March 24, 1903 in Henry County, the daughter of John Jacob and Carrie Leaner (Collins) Wirth. She married William Charles Loughe Aug. 20, 1924, in Kewanee. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Sterling. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Stan (Dorothy) Ridge of Jackson, Mich., Mrs. Joe (Evelyn) Anning of Rock Falls, Mrs. Dale (Joyce) Long and Mrs. Robert (Betty) Dickinson, both of Sterling; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, William; one daughter, Elizabeth Partridge; one brother and two grandchildren.

CARRIE M. (WOLFE) LUBBEN , 77, of 602 7th Ave., Sterling, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Thursday (14 July 1966) in Community General Hospital. Death came following a brief illness. The body was removed to the Behrens Mortuary, where friends may call any time. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the mortuary, with T. Y. Davis, reader, of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Carrie M. Wolfe was born Nov. 20, 1888, in Stephenson County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolfe. She was reared and educated in that community and was married Nov. 10, 1913 to Frank H. Lubben. They moved to Sterling in 1933. She was as member of the Rock Falls Rebekah Lodge and the First Church of Christ, Scientist. Surviving are one son, Robert F., Sterling; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Munson, Dubuque, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Granzee, Freeport; Mrs. Clarence Kleckner, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Lyman Cox, Phoenix, Ariz. She was preceded by her husband, who died Nov. 22, 1955; one brother and one sister. A memorial has been established for the First Church of Christ, Scientist.

CLIFFORD E. LYON , 74, 302 11th Ave., Sterling, died Monday night (1 Dec 1975) . Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Behrens Blair Funeral Home with the Rev. H. J. Rendall officiating. Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Clifford Lyon was born Dec. 25, 1900 in Mt. Pleasant Township, the son of Harley and Ella Matthew Lyon. He married Bonnie Hite in Eustis, Fla., on June 10, 1926. He was a past Noble Grand and a 50-year Veteran Jewel. He was also a member of Sterling Lodge of Odd Fellows No. 174 and Emiline Rebecca Lodge No. 8 in Morrison. Clifford Lyon was employed at Best Garage for 15 years and farmed in Mt. Pleasant Township for 15 years. He was also employed at an automotive electrical shop in Florida for five years and on the Berkview Farms in Mt. Pleasant Township for 19 years. He worked with FFA and 4-H Clubs and was a past scout master of Wallace School Troop No. 100. Survivors include his widow; one son, Robert Lyon of Clinton, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. James (Jacqueline) Minervino of Oregon; six grandsons and three granddaughters. He was preceded by his parents.

FERN (CURRY) LYON was born November 11, 1892 in Coolidge, Kansas, the daughter of James A. and Dora (Rigg) Curry. She was educated in the McLean and Sangamon County Schools in Illinois and attended the former Illinois State Teachers College, Normal. She moved to Prophetstown in 1914 and married Forrest F. Lyon, of Morrison, on April 14, 1935 in Ohio, IL. She was a teacher in the rural schools of Whiteside County for 46 years. She was a member of Minerva Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Prophetstown, since 1921, and was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church and the Philaracca Class and Mary Circle of the church. Fern, 102, passed away Saturday, April 8, 1995 at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center where she had resided for several years. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 13, at the Prophetstown United Methodist Church, with Rev. Bruce Janes officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Prophetstown. The Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one sister, Hallie Hammer of Morrison, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986, one sister, Mabel Blair Sibley, and three brothers, Bert, Taylor and Warren Curry.

GENE C. LYON , 67, of surrey Drive, Sylva NC, formerly of Sterling, died July 12, 2005. He was born in Sterling, the son of John & Fern (Vickery) Lyon. He married Sarah E. Estes. Survivors include his wife; two daughters Jeannie and Christina; two brothers John & Richard.

HERBERT BAXTER LYON , 85, died Sunday morning in Morrison Community Hospital. Herbert Baxter was born April 19, 1878, the son of Marcus and Minerva Miller Lyon in Tampico. He attended the Highland and Prophetstown High School. He was a member of the Lions Club, a charter member of the Farm Burear and a member of the Methosist Church. On Feb. 14, 1900 he married Florence Harmen in Prophetstown. Surviving are his wife, two sons, Wayne and Raymond, Prophetstown; one daughter, Mrs. Annold Warte, Prophetstown; three sisters, Mrs. L.E. Rife, Mobile Alabama, Mrs. Stewart Olmstead, Marinett Wisc., and Mrs. Ray Olmstead, Sterling; four grandchildren and 8 great granchildren. Services will be in the First Methodist Church with the Rev. W.Henzlik officiating. Burial in Riverside Cemetery.

LUCY ANN (SCHOFIELD) LYON , was born September 15, 1862 in Morrison , Illinois and departed this life at Trenton , Nebraska , January 14, 1931, at the age 68 years, 3 months, 29 days. She was united in marriage to James Lyon on Sept. 20, 1880, at Indianola , Nebraska , and they came immediately to their homestead two miles East of Trenton. This was their home until after Mr. Lyon's death on September 5, 1911. Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Lyon. Three have preceded their mother in death., Aubrey and Charles, who died in infancy, and Ray, who passed away in September, 1925. The eight surviving children are: Bert and Mrs. Ray Smith of Trenton ; Will of Reno, Nevada; Clair of Wakeeney, Kansas , Harve of McCook; Otho and Mrs harry McClain of Denver; and Mrs. Roy Smith of Goodland , Kansas . Mrs Lyon is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, one great grandchild, three brothers, many other relatives and a host of friends.

Additional Comments: - Lucy was noted for being a sainted Pioneer lady of the community. Lucy was the daughter of John and Hulda Mary Pearsen Schofield.

ETHEL LYONS - Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Lyons, former resident who died Tuesday in Albuquerque, N. Mex., were held Thursday in the Strong-Thorn Mortuary in New Mexico. Burial was in the Albuquerque Cemetery. Mrs. Lyons is survived by six grandchildren, and two cousins, Mrs. Lyle Fuller, Lyndon and Mrs. Russell Swemline, Como. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons.

NEEN T. LYONS , 71, died at KSB hospital early yesterday morning after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fulton the Rev. John T. Egan officiating and with internment at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Fulton. Born March 12, 1877 in Albany Ill., he had been living with his son Richard at 516 North Jefferson avenue here. In addition to Richard he is survived by anothe son Rolland, Springfield Ill., and two brothers James and William, both of Albany. Friends may call at the Jones funeral home until Wednesday morning.
