The seventeenth annual Pettit reunion was held at the William Pettit farm east of this city Sunday. A pot-luck dinner and supper was enjoyed by the 28 members of the family present. A short business meetin was held. Vernon Pettit was retained as president and Joyce Wagenecht was elected secretary for the next year. It was voted to send cards to the five boys from that family who are serving their country. Those boys are George and Robert Pettit of Cordova, Dorn Pettit of Milwaukee, Wis., Andrew Olson of Batavia and Keith Reiley of Prophetstown. The reunion will be held next year on the Sunday in July falling closest to the 15th, at the Pettit farm.
Those persent were Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Woy and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Pettit, Nancy and Mr. and Mrs. Seth Pettit of Cordova, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Pettit and family of Hillsdale; Mr. and Mrs. William Sommers of Rock Falls; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riley, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Fellows and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wagenecht and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pettit of Prophetstown.
