Wedding Announcement

Elmer Behrens & Marie Mensch

Miss Marie Mensch, daughter of Mrs. Maggie Mensch of Elevenths avenue, and Elmer Behrens , son of Mr. and Mrs. F.A. Behrens, prominent farmers south of Rock Falls at Mile Nine, stole a march on their friends and were united in marriage Saturday at Tipton, Ia. The ceremony took place a 1: 00 Saturday afternoon at the parsonage of the Methodist church, the Rev. Hudson officiating.

Following the wedding the young couple returned to Sterling by motor. The bride is a well known Sterling girl, where she is popular among a large circle of friends. She graduated from the Sterling Township high school in 1921 and attended the DeKalb state teachers' training college. For the past few years she has taught the Fairviw school north of Sterling, and has been engaged to teach this year at the West Science Ridge school. The groom is a prosperous young farmer and is also a well and favorably known young man.

For the present and during the winter Mr. and Mrs. Behrens will reside with her mother at 308 Eleventh Avenue. In the spring they expect to start housekeeping on his father's farm south of Rock Falls. Their many friends extend congratulations and best wishes for a happy married life.
