The ceremony was performed in presence of the near relatives and a few intimate friends of the contracting parties.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Woods of this city and is a young lady of superior intelligence and refinement, and is highly esteemed by her acquaintances.
The groom is young and rising attorney of Cleveland Ohio, and is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Carpenter.
The happy couple were made the recipients of very handsome presents. The Sentinel congratulates the wedded pair and joins with the friends in wishing them a long life of happiness and prosperity.
The guests present froma distance were: Rev. and Mrs. H.C. Woods, Mr. and Mrs. G.B. Hoar, Mrs. L. Carpenter of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clendenin of Joliet, and Miss Josephine Cable of Davenport, Iowa.
The bridal party left on the night train for Cleveland, where they will make their future home.
