Charles W. Deets and Miss Bertha G. Mensch will be married Thursday evening, Jan. 18, at 8 o'clock, at the home of the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mensch, in Mason City, Ia. A number of the relatives of the groom from Emerson and vicinity have gone to Mason City to attend the wedding, and the entire party expects to return soon after the ceremony. The bride and groom will be at home to their friends after Feb. 1, on the Carl Engles farm, haifa mile northwest of Emerson.

The bride is a former Emerson young lady, having lived near that place for several years until the removal of her parents to Iowa.

The groom is the son of W. W. Deets of Emerson and is a young man of much ability and one who has a great many friends who will unite in congratulations. Mrs. John Chalmers of this city is a sister of the bride.
