Autumn Wedding Unites Lives of Young Couple
Milded Rosene, Tampico, and Ivan Exner, Walnut Married Saturday

A beautiful and impressive autumn wedding in Tampico was solemnized Saturday afternoon when the lives of Miss Mildred Rosene, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rosene of Tampico, and Ivan Exner, son of Mr.and Mrs. William Exner of Walnut, were united in holy matrimony.

Promptly at 4 o'clock the bridal party descended the stairs to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by Miss Marjorie McKenzie, and took their stations in front of a bay window under a canopy of crepe paper streamers of green, pink and silver, chosen colors of the bride. The entire window was bordered with asparagus fern and at the sides were potted pink begonias and ferns. The parents of the bride were united in marriage in this same place.

The bride was lovely, attired in a gown of delicate green taffeta, trimmed in pink, and wearing silver slippers. A long white tulle veil fashioned in cap effect and caught with a wreath of orange blossoms complete the costume.

The bridesmaid, Miss Dorris Rosene, sister of the bride, was attractive in a dress of pink taffeta. Both young ladies carried beautiful bouquets of pink roses.

Mr. Exner was attended by his brother, Dale Exner of Walnut. They wore the conventional dark suits.

The bride and groom knelt on small cusions as Rev. J.C. Weir of the Christian church read the single ring ceremony. The bride was givenin marriage by her father.

Following the service a wedding dinner was served to the bridal party and members of the immediate families. The dining room was attractively decorated with streamers of pink, green and silver crepe paper with a large white bell suspended over the table. Nut cups and place cards were also in keeping with the bride's chosen colors. The menu was: creamed chicken, mashed potatoes, buttered peas, overnight salad, olives, cheese, rolls, angel food cake and coffee. Misses Helen Berge, Bernadine Foy and Jennie Eloise Potter acted as waitresses.

Those present besides the bridal party for the ceremony and dinner were Mr. and Mrs. William Exner, Mrs. Dale Exner adn daughter Delores and Lawrence Bruder of Walnut; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Rosene and daughters Blanche, Etta Maye, Helen and Neva, Mr. and Mrs. George Newman and Rev. and Mrs. J.C. Weir.
