Miss Margaret Merton Carter, of Clinton, Ia., daughter of Mrs. E. E. Rank, of Windom, Minn., became the bride of D. C. Keefe, son of D. W. Keefe, of Deer Grove, Ill., at 6 o'clock this morning in St. Patrick's church, Clinton, the Rev. Father J. A. Murray celebrating the nuptial mass.
The bridal couple was unattended. The bride wore a lovely gown of blue chiffon with hat and accessories to match and her flowers were a corsage bouquet of roses, sweet peas and other spring blossoms.
Mr. and Mrs. Keefe left immediatley after the ceremony for Moline where they will spend the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Carter, a brother of the bride, leaving on Monday for Windom for an indefinte stay.
Mrs. Keefe is a charming girl, possessed of a host of friends who will wish her joy. She was graduated from St. Mary's school in Clinton and until recently has been assistant cashier in the C. B. & Q. freight offices in Clinton. Mr. Keefe attended St. Ambrose college in Davenport and is at the present assistant cashier for the First National Bank of Rock Falls.
