Wedding Announcement

Glenn Matthews & Elizabeth Forney

Miss Elizabeth Ann Forney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.E. Forney of Walnut became the bride of Glenn W. Matthews, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Matthews of Prophetstown at the First Methodist Church at Sprinfield, Ill, at 7 o'clock Thursday evening Dec.7. The Rev. A. Ray Grummon, pastor of the church officiated the service.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mester of Springfield, close friends of the couple were the attendants and guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Ashworth and Miss Mildred Rilling of Springfield.

The bride wore a street length dress of aqua with black accessories and had a corsage of Johanna roses. The matron of honor Mrs. Mester, wore a dress of navy with black accessories and a corsage of red roses. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served the party at "The Mill" in Springfield.

Mrs. Matthews is a graduate of the Walnut high school and was employed in Springfield in the state division of highways for three years, and for the past two years has been employed in the office of GBH-Way Homes, Inc. in Walnut. Her husband was graduated from the Prophetstown high school and since has been employed on farms near Prophetstown and Walnut.

Mr. and Mrs. Matthews are at home on the Walter Forward farm in the Leon community near Prophetstown
