William married Mary J Moore in KY, they had 2 daughters, Fannie and one other. He then married Martha A Moore on 06 May 1845, she was his first wife's sister. They had 4 daughters and one son. The son was George W born 01 Oct 1848 in Logan Co, KY. He was also a physician (1905)

He came to Marion in 1871 On 04 Mar 1854 he married Mary Ann Gray, she died 19 Aug 1881, having 4 children. Then he married 15 Nov 1885 to Mrs Nancy Dunaway, she died Mar 1886. On 19 Jun 1896 he married a thrid time to Mrs Anna L Lilliam (1905).

William married a third time to Mrs Susan Moaks in 1855, they had 6 children. Our subject Benjamin was in Co H 9th IL during the Civil War, he was a POW and traded winding up in the 2nd Batt 124th Veteran Reserve Corp. In 1866 he married Nancy Everett the d/o Hillard and Barbara. Benjamin had 9 children: Rosa A, William T, Cora M, Benjamin L, George W, Harvey A, Bessie and 2 others. (1887)

James' grandparents were John and Dorsey Fowler, (he was also a doctor). His great grandfather was Samuel who married a Sedgwick, he was a Revolutionary War soldier. But back to James, during the CW he was in Co E 60th IL. In 1874 he married Sidney Hendrickson the d/o Jesse and Martha. Their children are: Olive G, Lorin L, Sidney M, Stella C, Bernice (d bef 1887), Altha A, John A L and James L (1887)
