b 1854 in Wmson Co, IL. His fahter was JB Walker, born in 1821 in Robertson Co, TN. He wass the s/o Matthew (b NC). JB came to Wmson Co in 1834. He married the mother n 1850, she wass Mary E Spiller (1834-1881). They lived in Bainbridge. Their children besides Irwin were: Charles A, Warren N, Vincent, Douglas, Julia A, Alice M, Lou Ella and Franklin. In 1882 Irwin married Philia Herrin. There children were Ira, Edward and Mettie. b 10 Aug 1852 in Smith Co, TN. His father was Judge James M (see below) born in TN. His mother was Sarah M Smith born in IN in 1826 and died 18 Nov 1892 in Carterville. CL married Katie L Marcy in Oct 1856. His second marriage was to Mrs Laura A Utley on 01 Jul 1899, they have one son, James. (1905)

b 13 Sep 1826 in Smith Co, TN. His father was Lewis who died 31 Dec 1872 age 75. His mother wass Nancy More who died in May 1874 age 79. Lewis and Nancy had 10 children. James married Sarah M Smith, who was born in VA. She died 13 Nov 1898. Their children were: William Smith, CL and Benjamin L. On 15 Sep 1897 a fire destroyed the family home. b 04 Jul 1821 in Cumberland Co, NC. His father was William, born in NC 1785 and died TN in 1869. His other was Ann Wworthington, b 1786 in NC and died in 1866 having 10 children. AD married in dec 1853 to Elizabeth Norfleet, b 1835 in TN. Their children are: Marmaduke, Lillie, William W, Andrew, Cave C, Martha A, Braxton B, Wade R and Ford M. (1887)

She was born abt 1821 in TN; d. 18 Sept 1877 and buried in West Marion Twp, Section 14 (near I-57, north & east of Route 13 interchange). Children: William, Matthew, Mary (m. Weaver), Thomas J.; Sarah Belle (m. Odum), Nancy, Susan T. (m. Walter Brooks), Isaac W, Lettie Jane (m. Grant), George Washington Watson. Watson, William--mechanic

William Watson was a former slave. According to William, he was born 16 May 1820 near Salina Junction , TN. According to his neighbors he was about 100 years old in 1904. His father is unknown but his mother died in 1892 in Guthrie, KY at the age of 110. His former master was Samuel Watson of MA, he owned land on the Cumberland River in TN. During the Civil War he joined the 5th Iowa Cav repairing wagons. After the war he lived in Nashville, TN til 1866 when he moved to Johnsville. He finally arrived in Marion, IL in 1882. He was married a first time while a slave and this lady died during the CW. He married a second time to Charlott Walker on 16 May 1870, she was a former slave from TX. (1905)

b 1839 in Wilson Co, TN. His father was James W born in TN 02 Jul 1812, his mother was Mary Palmer born 1817 in TN. In 1887 both parents were still living in TN, they had 12 children. During the CW CA was in Co L 16th IL Cav. In 1868 he married Margaret M Blankenship the of Ischam and Martha. She was born in 1847 in Monroe Co, TN. They had 10 children: Elmo, Leona, Viola, Winetta, Flossa, William P, James I, Charles M, Julia and John W. (1887)

b 10 Apr 1832 in Calloway Co, KY the s/o John (b abt 1790 in AL) and Easter Jemmerson (b in NC, d 1863 in Pope Co, IL). About 1850 NS was in Johnson CO, Il before he moved to Creal Springs in 1866. He married in 1850 to Sarah J Bell the d/o William and Ruthie. She was born in Henry Co, TN. Their children are; Harriett A, Bell, George W, William and 6 which died young. (1887)

Winning, Robert--Coal Mine Inspector

b 1837 in Glasgow, Scotland, the s/o James (1815-1843) and Catherine (McKie). They had 4 children. The mother was born in 1820 and after her 1st husband died she married William D Smith. They came to the US to MO. She died in Collinsville having 6 children by her second husband. Robert began working in the mines at age 10. In 1863 he moved to Alton and in 1872 to Carterville. In 1860 he married Jobenia Gilbert, she was born in Scotland and died in 1883. Their children were: Mary, James, Gilbert, Ann, Kate, Robbie, Willie and Samuel. Wolfe, J L--Doctor and Lawyer

b 15 Sep 1829 in Boteourt Co, VA. His father was James M Wolfe born 1787 in Richmond, VA, he was also a lawyer. He moved to Memphis with 2 children then later became minister to Mexico. He died near New Orleans on the "St James" a steamer. James was the grandson of General Wolfe of Quebec. He had at least 2 brothers, Senator Wolfe of KY and Samuel a lawyer in Washington DC. JL's mother was Behethland Thompson born in 1805. JL married Louisa Jones the d/o WE and Lousia. She died in 1870 in Perry Co, IL. Their children were: Alice, Nathaniel B, Virginia, Joseph, Laura and James M. His second marriage was to Emma Turner the d/o Dr and Mary Turner. Their children were: Udollphus, Louis N, Ella, Lousia, Charles and Matthew. (1887)
