Uncle Jimmy, as he was called, by all his neighbors lived in this vicinity about sixty one years.

When a young man in the early days of this country, game was plenty and he was a great hunter often killing six or eight deer in one day. He has lived with his present wife, Telitha JOHNSON, about forty nine years. They have raised a large family of children who are all married and living near the late residence of the deceased. Uncle Jimmy was a good neighbor and respectable citizen, and although not belonging to any religious denomination he was a strong believer in Christianity and professed faith in Christ. A very large concourse of people attended his funeral, which speaks louder than words of their attachment to the departed Patriarch. Oliver COX.
