DEDICATION AT CEMETERY TO BE SUNDAY
Dedication of a monument in the River Bluff Nursing Home cemetery will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the cemetery, 4401 N. Main St. to be followed by an open house in the nursing home. The monument was presented by Health, Welfar, and Environment Committee of the County Board to mark the graves of more than 600 men, women, and children buried there from 1853 to 1954. There are presently no markers in the cemetery. It was designed by Dick Farrell, Forest Hills Monument Co., Loves Park. Participating in the dedication will be Mrs. Vivian Johnson, chairman of the committee; Peter Perrecone, County Board chairman; River Bluff Chaplain Rev. Frank Arvidson; Rex Light; and Mrs. Margaret Wyeth, county board member who researched information.
