I'm a collector of tokens, such as "good for 5c in trade", and acquired one from Thompson & Baker, but with no city or state on the token. These "maverick" tokens are a challenge to identify, especially with such common names. Often they show up close to the original home, so when I found T&A on your site, I got excited (there are actually very few T&A listed in Google). The problem is the reverse of the token is from a well-known billiard manufacturer (a "stock" die), so it is most likely that T&A was a billiard hall. I collect area tokens, and I'd love this to be Rockton, as it would be my earliest Rockton token, by far. As a general store, T&A would be the type of store to issue tokens, and the time period style of the token matches up with the dates they were in business. But, I'm concerned about the billiard connection. Obviously more research needs to be done!

Rogers

Looking for descendents and/or friends of David Peers Rogers (1929-2004) and his father Raymond Lyle Rogers (1904-1964). Raymond is my second cousin. We are related through the Rogers of Vermilion County, Ill. Anyone with any info on these men, I would appreciate some help. Thank you--Philip Rogers

Peter Holmquist or Swanson

I have a man named William S. Swanson in my family tree. His father was Nels Swanson. Nels had a brother who came over here and lived in Rockford, Illinois. I have an old family diary over 100 years old that states Nels had a brother “Perr” but William, who wrote the diary, didn’t know whether Perr (Peter?) went by the last name of Holmquist or Swanson. He did know that his father’s brother Perr lived in Rockford, Illinois. Perr had a daughter Marie (or Maria?) that later married my great grandfather William S. Swanson, who was, indeed his COUSIN. Can you help me? I would appreciate any help you can give! Thank you.

UNCERTAIN

One of my relatives has a postcard which was sent to our great aunt Emma Weyer in 1908.
I was wondering if anyone would know who the lady named Ellen who sent the postcard was? The postcard also lists her husband I presume whose name is Sanfred.
I am using the new Yahoo email so I hope I can figure out how attaching the pictures works.
