of Highways for the Town of Partridge Woodford County, Illinois do hereby
asertain (sic) estimate and assess on the persons and property liable
thereto by law highway labor and road tax to be performed and paid in said
town the next issuing year as follows - On each able bodied male
inhabitant therein tow days labor. On each one hundred dollars worth of
property therein as valued on the assessment roll of the past year twenty
cents road tax on both personal and real estate. Noted April 18th,

12 April 29th, 1876 Board of Auditors met for being present for the
purpose of appointing one assessor and one collector and proceeded to
appoint the following persons to the above named office. for assessor,
Isaac Deford for collector, John J. Snyder to Issac Deford whereas
Jacob Jones of the Town of Partridge Woodford County, Illinois being
elected at the last annual Town Meeting and having failed to qualify as
assessor said office becomes vacant for the current year. We
therefore hereby appoint you to fill said office on said Town for the
current year. Witness on hands and seawls this 29th day of April

1876 Board of Auditors met there being present for the purpose of
adjusting all claims and accounts against the Town of Partridge for
services rendered said Town. The following named persons ere allowed

road was laid out by the Commissioners of the Town of Partridge on the
20th of February 1871 which has now been properly surveyed and recorded
now therefore we have caused a survey thereof to be made by a competent
surveyor as follows beginnings at the center of the public roads running
from Springbay to Lacon near Guibert's stable at a point being 56 ? north
of center of bridge thence L85, w22, 64ch to a point on the road west of e
line of.

all claims and accounts against the Town of Partridge for services
rendered the said Town of Partridge the following claims were presented

page 21 At the annual Town meeting
held in the Town of Partridge in Woodford County, Illinois at the Richland
school house on the third day of April 1877, the meeting was called to
order by Alex Boulier, Town Clerk. Benj. Younger being chosen moderator
was duly sworn by Alex Boulier Town Clerk and took the
chair. Proclamation therof having been made by the Clerk polls were
opened for the election of officers. The annual report of receipts and
expenditures for the year for the Town was read before said meeting by the
Clerk. At twelve o'clock noon the meeting was adjourned and polls was
closed for one hour. At one o'clock p.m. the meeting was called to
order by the moderator and the polls opened pursuant to adjourment
(sic). The meeting closed at fifteen minutes after five

said Town hereby appoint Severn Walsmith to fill said vacancy. Dated

by law Highway labor and road tax to be performed and paid in said Town
the next ensuring year as follows - on each male inhabitant therein two
days labor. On each one hundred dollars worth of Property therein as
valued on the assessment roll of the past year twenty five cents road

page 33 Minutes of the annual Town
meeting of the Town of Partridge Woodford County, Illinois held at the
Partridge School house on Tuesday the 2nd day of April A.D. 1878 At
nine o'clock in the forenoon the Clerk called the meeting to
order. Benj. Younger being ? and duly elected was sworn in by the Clerk
as Moderator to preside at said meeting and took the
chair. Proclamation thereof having been made by the Clerk the polls
were opened for the election of officers for the ensuring year. The
annual report of receipts and expendatures (sic) for the past year for the
Town was read before said meeting by the Clerks. At twelve o'clock the
meeting adjourned for one hour proclaimation (sic) thereof having been
made by the Clerks. At one o'clock the meeting was called to order by

Meeting April 16th, 1878 The Board of the Commissioners of Highways
met three being present and proceeded to organize by appointing George
Hininger as Treasurer of said Board also Jacob Wagner as General overseer
of Highways and Andrew Bechler as Clerk of said Board of Commissioners of
Highways. We the Board of Commissioners of Highways do hereby levie
a toll tax of two dollars on each able bodied man not exception by
