MISCELLANEOUS PAPERS IN ADAMS COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE
In the Clerk's office, Adams County, there is a book labeled "Old Licenses in
era of 1854, also a few 1867." There is only 1 entry, which reads:
"New Corydon Ind. B.H. Dent, Esq. Clerk of the Adams C.C. Dear Sir:
Jonas M. Knepper, a ward of mine, will this week apply to you for license to
marry--Nelson, and I hereby give my consent that you issue to him a license
to marry the above named lady. C.B. Tharp. Guardian of the minor heirs
of Joseph & Mary Knepper. deceased. Filed Oct 12/76. B. Dent, Clerk.
